Ástor "Puerta Cerrada"

I had the privilege of visiting Astor a few days ago after my trip to Madrid, and I couldn't have made a better decision. The staff's service, the food, and the overall experience were delightful, and what's more, the prices aren't exorbitant. I definitely recommend it, and if I'm ever back in Madrid, I'll certainly make a point of visiting again.

Our favorite place to eat in Madrid. They have delicious food! We got great recommendations and they were spot on with every dish. We left delighted and eager to return; we'll definitely be back many times.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place with a great atmosphere and good food, and we found it at Astor. We ordered several dishes to share and were delighted with each one, including the beet hummus, the risotto, and the ribs. But without a doubt, my favorite dish was the char siu; the pork belly glazed in soy sauce is a must-try. Even the desserts are fantastic; the homemade mascarpone flan is delicious. We'll definitely be back soon! 👌🏻✨

An excellent experience from beginning to end. The service was attentive and professional, but the highlight was the cuisine: meticulously prepared dishes, incredible flavors, and a quality evident in every detail. Passion and a high level of skill are palpable in each dish. Definitely a place to return to.

Great atmosphere, very attentive and friendly staff, they explain the dishes very well, and the drinks are amazing. The best amaretto sour I've ever had, and the Spanish mule is so good. Thank you, Lorenzo, Renato, and Kiara. You guys are the best!

Beautiful restaurant with great service and mediocre food. Only thing we truly enjoyed were the croquetas de bacalao. The croquets they gave us as a free starter had cheese rind and was sour. The mussels were chewy and undercooked with very little flavor, not very fresh tasting. And the steak was a mediocre portion with very soft fries that had lots of seasoning but little flavor. The service was kind and the wine was good. Would not recommend unless you have very little knowledge of the good food around Madrid.

A mid-range restaurant (prices slightly higher than average), offering original recipes that are a welcome change from the usual tapas, and thoughtful touches (amuse-bouche, a refreshing drink at the end of the meal). If you're looking for a quiet place and inventive, refined cuisine, Astor is for you.
