Maple Leaf Cottage Inn

We stayed in the Wash House. We happened to be the only guests that weekend and were treated like royalty by Debra and Tim the owners and the manager, Jennifer. This bed and breakfast is exactly what you picture in your head when you hear those words. Buildings from the 1800s. Period furniture and quilts. But still with modern amenities like Wi-Fi. The breakfast both days were amazing, and recommendations for things to do and where to eat were spot on. We are planning our next trip and I am considering deleting this review so we can jealously keep this place to ourselves. :)

The beds were hard and it was really expensive

This place is fantastic, it is so easy to find but once there you feel like you're in a completely different time and place. It is incredibly relaxing, we stayed in the Buggy Shop which was cute and cozy. I would recommend a stay in any of the Maple Leaf Cottage Inn rooms, Deb and Tim do a beautiful job of making sure their guests feel right at home.

If you are looking for the perfect getaway in the Midwest, visit Elsah, Illinois and stay at the Maple Leaf Cottage Inn. Deb and Tim are welcoming and hospitable hosts that want to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They are extremely friendly and strive to make your stay pleasant and memorable. The property/ cottages they have are beautiful and very well kept. We stayed in the Wash House and it truly felt cozy. The rooms are clean and the decor takes you back in time. It was fun to walk around the grounds and also the quaint peaceful town of Elsah. There are cute shops within Elsah and it is only a 5 minute drive from Grafton. It's a perfect place to stay if you would like to be right in-between Alton and Grafton. I highly recommend staying here!

Deborah and Tim are excellent hosts. They both work very hard to make sure that your stay is memorable, and when you stay at their place, you feel like you are on a vacation since they do all of the work. They are also great people to talk to, and we had some great conversations. This was my second time at the Maple Leaf Cottage Inn, and I will be returning many more times. If you have never been to bed and breakfast, this is the place to visit. Not only are the hosts great, but the rooms are excellent as well; very clean and cozy. I'm looking forward to our next stay!

This place is incredible. We have stayed here 3 times now. The town Elsa is really cool in itself. Tuck away off route 100. The Maple Leaf Cottage is just another bonus. They have several rooms to choose from. Debra and Tim are such great hosts. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or the romantic weekend this is the place. This place is a must see.

This place is the best. Have stayed at a few places and different states. This has been by far the best. Debbie and Tim go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and at home. Anything you could want is there or you will have. Love it and as always, will be back.

Always lots of stuff, friendly staff, but there is always to much stuff in the aisles.
