I think it's a good place. Everything is fine. The staff is nice. Clean, decent place. It suited me.
when we arrived we went back and forth with the guy at the desk saying we couldn’t check in unless we were 25 or older which was stated no were on the website/policies. If that’s the policy it should be known before making a reservation. this hotel is wasting people time and money for no reason. Eventually when we were able to check in, the wifi didn’t work, the shower water pressure was not good nor did the water get warm, and the a/c wasn’t working properly. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
The location is great, right across the street from the Dragon Gate into Chinatown off of Grant St. I enjoy eating breakfast at Cafe Presse next door but the Hotel Triton also offers guests a complementary breakfast from 7-9 am. On the other side of Hotel Triton is a Gelato shop. Hard to go wrong treating yourself to a cup or cone of Gelato, morning, noon or night!. The staff at Hotel Triton were very friendly and helpful. The lobby is small & relaxed with lots of seating as every night from 4-6 they offer free wine for happy hour, so you can enjoy a nice break with some nice wine options, after a long day of sightseeing or business, The room was clean and well put together, but small. The bathroom area was exceptionally small requiring a bit of a dance to enter into the bathroom while squeezing between the door opening and toilet. Then instead of a tub & shower we had a step in shower with only a partial glass partition separating the shower water from hitting the toilet. You also have to stand oddly around the toilet to reach into a hole cut into the shower partition glass to access the shower faucet water to turn on the shower water unless you don’t mind standing in the shower to turn on the water and getting hit with the initial stream of cold water. The shower glass partition doesn’t fully keep the water from spraying outside the shower floor so be sure to keep your towel mat on the floor when showing to avoid slipping when exiting the shower, but just know that mat will be quite wet when finished showering. The shower head is not adjustable so there’s no way to reduce the direction of the water spray. This is my second stay at the Hotel Triton and overall I wouldn’t hesitate to book a room in the future, at the Hotel Triton once again.
Thank you Tony for going over and above! You won’t find a better bang for your buck in San Francisco I highly recommend!
An older boutique hotel with charm. Dog friendly. Complimentary wine hour. Great location. Small, updated rooms but very clean. Friendly staff (Saba👍) with easy check-in. Free breakfast is coffee and muffins. Valet parking is $65 per day. In room 414 the bathroom door opens inward towards the toilet. I had to step into the shower inorder to close the bathroom door..poor design. The eucalyptus shampoo is amazing 👏 Overall my stay was pleasant and comfortable. I recommend this hotel for couples traveling with a dog 🐕 -rg
