Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan

The hotel has a fairly classy standard, but the rooms are a bit dated 😅 I had dinner at the Sheng Palace Hotel, which was very good, but be aware that the kitchen closes quite early; here, at 9 pm, there are many dishes that the chef has already finished cooking 😭

Really great, something to improve on the rooms

The location and service were great, but the hotel facilities were too old and had a musty smell. It was okay for one night, but too uncomfortable for an extended stay. The lighting was also rather oppressive.

Very satisfied. Manager Hu Hui upgraded my room, and the toiletries were L'Occitane. Although I didn't have time to experience the Horizon Club this time, I will definitely come back in the future.

I always choose the Shangri-La Wuhan for my stay. The housekeeping staff, Xiao Gong, were incredibly warm and attentive. During my stay, the housekeeping managers, Manager Zhang and Manager Yu, specially arranged for me to enjoy Wuhan's signature soups. All the staff at the Horizon Club were so friendly and went out of their way to meet my needs, making me feel truly cared for and welcome at the hotel. I'm so grateful!

I never leave bad reviews on Google, but this one was truly awful. Years ago, I had a wonderful experience at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hangzhou, and in the summer of 2019, I chose the Shangri-La again in Wuhan, only to be utterly disappointed. I booked a non-smoking room, but the moment I entered, the room reeked of smoke. The hotel's solution was to tell me to open the door for ventilation—is this how a five-star hotel operates?! When I went to the front desk to inquire, the staff member was engrossed in typing on his computer. I approached him, expecting him to be as attentive as other upscale hotel staff, proactively asking what was wrong—it's standard hotel courtesy, I suppose. Instead, I waited quietly for five minutes until I couldn't help but interrupt his typing. Only then did he raise his haughty head and ask what I needed. Another staff member passing by completely ignored me. If typing is more important than serving guests, why is this front desk staff member even standing there? He should just go back to his room and focus on typing. Even stranger things happened that night. The air conditioner vent in the room, which had been quiet all day, suddenly started making a creaking noise around 2 or 3 AM. I can't even describe how I felt. Even now, two years later, when I think back on that experience, I still think it was really terrible.

Perfect place to be in Wuhan ! For a fair price, you can access to Shangri-La high standards with a renew venue, great gym and swinning. The staff takes care of you and answer to all you requests.
