Although it's an older hotel, it's very clean and well-maintained. The chimney of the fireplace in the lounge is a distinctive feature. In winter, the soft light flickering from the fireplace must provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hot spring water is highly alkaline, and you can immediately feel your skin becoming smooth after soaking in it. The shower pressure is strong everywhere, so you need to be a little careful not to splash others. The restaurant is buffet style, and you can enjoy it indoors or on the terrace. On pleasant days, the terrace is ideal. At night, many lanterns light up, creating a magical atmosphere. In the morning, you can fully enjoy the scent of the mountains and the freshness of the sunlight filtering through the trees. Overall, flowers are displayed everywhere, making it a beautiful hotel surrounded by blossoms.

The hotel and its baths are compact, so you don't have to walk far. It has many cute furnishings and a lovely, charming atmosphere. There's a kids' room, so it's recommended for families with young children. I think it's a great place to relax and unwind.

What an experience! We absolutely loved every second of our stay. The staff was so friendly and attentive, the breakfast was great, and it was very well located, just a short walk to many things. We even walked to Happo-One a few times!

The decor has a homey feel; chatting and drinking beer in the lobby in the evening is very chill. The hotel also displays a lot of vintage ski equipment, making it perfect for a leisurely trip.

On our way back from Happo-one and Tsugaike Nature Park, we finally stayed at this place that I'd been wanting to visit for a while. The exterior and interior of the building were both calm and relaxing, and the front desk staff and restaurant staff were all polite and hardworking, which made for a very pleasant experience. The bath left my skin feeling incredibly smooth, and the breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious. I'll definitely be coming back! Thank you. P.S. After all, the M size yukata was just right!

A very memorable hotel. I stayed here in early May due to the Alpine Route, and as mentioned in other comments, it is a very impressive hotel with a uniquely cozy atmosphere. It is truly fascinating that it is more memorable than the 4- or 5-star luxury hotels I stayed at during my Nagoya trip. It appears there are various types of rooms. The rooms themselves are not particularly small, but since it is an older hotel, it naturally cannot be compared to newly built or luxury hotels in terms of room condition, bedroom comfort, or amenities. However, despite the facilities not being luxurious, there is a uniquely charming lobby atmosphere. I sat on the sofa on the first floor for a while, and it is a hotel that remains in my memory because it strangely provided a sense of emotional comfort and warmth. As befits a town where the ski events of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics were held, it is fun to look at traces of the Winter Olympics (though not many), and there are enough clues on display for even someone unfamiliar with the area to guess that this is the town where the Winter Olympics took place. There was also a small souvenir shop, which was unique and charming. Although I visited in May and the fireplace wasn't in use, perhaps due to a preconceived notion about a snowy neighborhood, the lighting and the atmosphere of the lobby exuded a warm and generous vibe, making me feel as though it would serve as a sanctuary amidst a winter blizzard. It was a hotel that made me truly curious about what the atmosphere would be like if I visited in the middle of winter. Above all, the dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Looking at the exterior, I didn't think it was a large hotel, but the restaurant was packed with guests—so many that I wondered where they all came from. The interior was also much more spacious than I expected, and despite the bustling atmosphere filled with customers, it didn't feel noisy at all; instead, the liveliness felt pleasantly inviting—making for a fascinating dinner experience. The menu was incredibly diverse and abundant, with absolutely no wasted items. There were plenty of staff members, and their friendly and enthusiastic movements maintained a pleasant busyness, allowing for a truly rich and enjoyable dining experience. While the breakfast menu was good, the combination of the dinner menu composition, the bustle, the lighting, and the service—the overall atmosphere—was so excellent that I wanted to leave a detailed review.

Apart from the slightly weak WiFi signal in some rooms, everything else was good.
