High cost-performance ratio, clean!

A hidden gem in Shinsaibashi! Location was perfect for my travel plans, only a 20 minute walk from Namba station, 🚉 and a 12 minute walk from Minami-semba shopping centre. Staff here is exceptionally friendly and professional. Felt the warmth immediately when I checked in, carried my luggage and bags to 2nd level (front desk) and used Line app to translate hostel policy and guidelines. Even walked me to my floor on the elevator ride. I only stayed here 2 nights, for the price I paid really had no complaints at all. My room was very small and narrow (as expected) with a small counter, kneeling cushion, coat closet and a reliable safe to stash valuables. The mattress is very thin but I’ve slept on hard floors before and it didn’t bother me or give me back pain. There’s a headset for watching TV but I never found the time to tune-in. I got lucky in the sense that everyone on my floor was quiet at night, I didn’t use ear plugs and slept very soundly without any disruptions. Oddly never needed to wait in line to use the shared sinks (3) to get ready or the 2 communal shower stalls. The toiletries are well stocked, the cleansers, moisturizers, shampoo conditioner and body wash are all very good quality. 2 private toilets 🚽 per floor with auto sanitizing and flush. There’s an onsen bath set up on 9th floor. It looked well maintained but I didn’t have time to try it out. The hairdryers are also available only on that floor. Oh the provided pajamas are super comfortable! Found the first floor very useful for snacking and casually sipping coffee or tea ☕️. The WiFi is pretty consistent. Felt very safe as front door is locked every night around midnight and only guest card access to swipe in. Check-out process was very seamless and hotel staff were so incredibly generous to let me store my luggage and bags even after checking out while I explored 大阪城. Highly recommended if you are low maintenance but if you are taller than 5’6 you may feel very uncomfortable as the room has low ceiling and feels cramped.

The location and service are decent, but there's a lack of items in each part of the store. You can't wash your hands immediately after coming out of the toilet, and the fact that the washroom is far away is a major drawback. The lack of vending machines on every floor is also a negative point.

This capsule hotel has separate rooms for men and women, which is very reassuring for women. Each floor has fewer than 10 beds, and each floor has two shower rooms and two toilets, which is more than enough. They provide shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, makeup remover, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair dryer, and earplugs. Towels, bath towels, and disposable bath towels are changed daily. Each bed has indoor slippers, clothes hangers, and a trash can. There's enough space to open a 20-inch suitcase, and the curtains provide decent soundproofing. There are separate bathtubs for men and women upstairs. The front desk is on the second floor; you can ask them for help with large luggage, and you can also store your luggage there for free. The first floor has a lounge area with food, charging facilities, paid vending machines, free hot water, and a toilet. There's a convenience store diagonally opposite. It's a little far from the subway, making it suitable for light travel. The price per night is very reasonable, making it a great choice if you're on a budget!

I had a pleasant stay in HOTEL Cargo Shinsaibashi, Osaka during Cherry blossoms in April. What I like most was public bath (after a long walk, I loved to spend time at the end of the day in public bath, relaxed and really enjoyed it) and the location of hotel, 5-10 minutes walk to Shinsaibashi shopping streets as well as easy access to Osaka metro station. I will definitely come back for next trip, recommended! Thanks to all the staffs for your hospitality, it made me feel like home away from home, HOTEL Cargo Shinsaibashi!

For a capsule hotel, it was clean and had everything you needed. There was a bath, which was great for relieving fatigue, and almost everything was provided, so you could just show up empty-handed. The location requires a bit of a walk from the station, so it might be difficult if you have heavy luggage. It was nice that there were several convenience stores in front of the hotel, and there are tables on the first and second floors where you can eat. It was even better because there were vending machines and free services like green tea and coffee! Given the nature of capsule hotels, it would be pleasant for those who are well-mannered, but it might be a bit difficult for those who aren't. The price seems good value for money, so if it turns out well, I might stay here again in the future!

Rooms are a good size and clean but the beds are very hard and they do not turn off the hallway lights so it is bright through the night.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Dotonbori and about an hour to walk to Umeda. I traveled alone on foot, and the location was really great. If I had stayed in the middle of Dotonbori, it would have been noisy, and I think I would have been scared being a woman traveling alone at night. I liked that the area around this accommodation was quiet, and having a Lawson right in front was very convenient. I have stayed in many capsule hotels, but I don't think I've ever seen one as good as this one. Each floor is equipped with two shower rooms and three sinks, and every room has a safe. The rooms are even spacious enough to bring a suitcase inside. A variety of pillows were provided, and extra blankets are available if you want. There was even a small table (?) and a TV inside, which was really nice. It was great that there was a large public bath. The bath even has an outdoor tub available for use! It's the best for relieving travel fatigue! All amenities such as lotion, cleanser, shampoo, and conditioner were provided, and pajamas are available for free rental. The staff are friendly, and the common lounge on the first floor is kept quiet and clean. What surprised me was that the shower rooms, washrooms, and large bath were constantly cleaned, and the facility was so well-maintained that there were no items missing or out of place.

Great hotel with a very reasonable price. The place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Although the room is a capsule, it’s not too cramped and there is enough space to place your luggage. The shared bath on the 9th floor is very nice, with a small onsen that guests can use for free, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day. The common area on the 1st floor has tea and coffee available, and there is also a microwave you can use. The staff here are very kind, friendly, and welcoming. They provide great service and make you feel comfortable during your stay. I was very impressed with my stay here. If I come back to Osaka in the future, I will definitely stay here again.
