What reviewers say

Visitors praise Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and surprisingly spacious capsules that offer more than typical capsule hotels. While the location is generally considered good and walkable to popular areas like Dotonbori, some guests note it's a little removed from the main nightlife hub.

The room was larger than I expected, and there was ample storage space. Overall, it was clean and modern, in line with current trends. However, it was difficult to spread out clothes in the room; the hanger space was only just enough for t-shirts. The public bath was rather small, and the open-air bath offered no view whatsoever. If the price and location were more suitable, I would consider staying here again.

Hotel Cargo Shinsaibashi was one of the most comfortable capsule hotel stays I’ve had in Osaka. The capsule felt much more spacious than expected, with a clean bed, warm lighting, a small desk area, TV, outlets, remote controls, and thoughtful touches like pajamas, towels, slippers, and toiletries. The design has a calm Japanese-style feel, with wood tones and red accents that make the space feel cozy rather than cramped. Everything was kept very clean, including the shared bathrooms and sink areas, and the staff seemed attentive about keeping the floors tidy. I also really appreciated the gender-separated areas, which made the stay feel safe and relaxed as a solo traveler. The bath area was a perfect way to unwind after walking around Shinsaibashi and sightseeing all day. Location-wise, it’s convenient for exploring central Osaka, with plenty of food, shopping, and transport options within walking distance. For the price, the comfort, cleanliness, and amenities are excellent. I would happily stay here again 😊

The staff were very polite and the facilities were clean. The separate facilities for men and women were very reassuring. It was also nice that amenities like toothbrushes were provided in the public bath and washrooms. Body lotion and cleansing products were also available. However, you can hear the noise from the surrounding rooms quite clearly, which is a bit of a concern. But overall, it was a really good hotel.

The staff were very friendly. Be aware that the departure time has changed. One woman gestured as if the candy basket wasn't self-service. Instead of telling me to help myself, she gestured as if I were nibbling. It was a bit annoying. Otherwise, the place is great.

The rooms and service are absolutely top-notch. Men and women use separate elevators to go to different floors. The women's rooms have complete toiletries. The details are very thoughtful! It's a little walk from the bustling area, but still within an acceptable distance. I would definitely stay here again!
