First time to experience a prefab hotel. Cold aircon, no issue on summer heat. Plated breakfast not many to choose which is a little sad for 5day stay and will have the same menu daily.
Unreasonable policy of not allowing outside ordered food in your rooms/events This is the only Hotel that has that policy. So frustrating since there is no policy communicated upon checkin.
I travel for work and chose this hotel due to its proximity to where I work here in Davao. Pros: Location - Its very accessible. Nearby Mercury Drugs and some restaurants. Bed: Very comfortable Bed and plenty of pillows. Room: I got the family room and it was very spacious. Definitely good for Family of 4 or 6 because of the big beds. T&B: Functional T&B. with Hot and Cold Shower. Wifi: Good connection Restaurant nearby: The hotel is connected with the Wild Zebra Coffee Shop that's open till 12mn. Perfect if you need to work. Cons: Location - Gave this a 2 star rating. Since it is located in the main road, the noise of the passing by cars is very loud at night. Even if the doors and windows are closed. Breakfast: plated breakfast for 2. You can take out the breakfast if you will not eat at the restaurant. But the serving is quite small given the rate that I paid for. (Better book via Agoda or Booking.com for much better rates) Amenities: Hair dryer is available upon request. Flat Iron is also available but there's no "Kabayo" so you have to be creative in ironing your clothes. Overall, it was an "ok" stay. I would probably look for other boutique hotels to try in Davao.
The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not at all acceptable in our opinion. Breakfast is cold and very old when it's served. (It looks old and tastes like it, too.) The rooms are rather dirty. There is a huge wardrobe, but no hangers, and the clothes rail is just lying inside the wardrobe. The drain in the bathroom is almost completely clogged. The bath mat was damp and dirty. The staff don't greet guests, are always on their phones, and at check-in, you receive no information other than the key. When you ask about hot water, you're told to look for housekeeping in the hallways. The housekeeping staff member we did find was the friendliest person in the hotel. Many thanks for helping us get hot water and for cleaning the room to improve the smell. For a lower price, the accommodation would offer an acceptable standard for the Philippines. However, that would only be the case if there were at least drinking water. Every hostel or guesthouse provides drinking water for guests, except this hotel.
