The Social Teahouse is a tea house and café at Preslav Street 53, in the pedestrian centre between the cathedral and the Sea Garden. It isn't a gay venue, but it is one of the few places in Varna with a record of hosting queer events: it held the film screenings of the MELT Varna Queer Fest in August 2024 and is listed as a partner venue by the Queer Varna Foundation. Expect a long tea list, cakes and a calm room for daytime meetings. Google rates it 4.8 from about 770 reviews.

Amazing atmosphere and lots of options for great drinks! They might have problems with card payments though. I strongly suggest bringing cash with you or ask to pay with revolut as last resort.

This is an extraordinary place for so many reasons! The food is amazing, and whether you're looking for breakfast, brunch, or just a quick coffee, this place has everything you need. The eggs, in particular, are spot on! The atmosphere is so relaxing, it feels like a lazy Sunday afternoon on my couch. But wait, there's more! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the mission behind the whole project is truly heartwarming. Projects like this are exactly what the world needs. If you're in the area, don't miss this place! Also good to know: Varna Airport is only a 15-minute drive away!

One of my favourite places in Varna! Great selection of teas for every occasion. I highly recommend the chocolate brownie and walnut cookies! Lovely, polite staff! What's not to like?
