Centre Stage

Firstly, this is a beautiful bar. The bar counter is made of dark wooden panels. It’s glossy. The aesthetic is warm yet cosmopolitan! The waiters are super friendly. And there’s a sizeable international crowd. Myself included. Can’t wait to go there again. Bring your credit card, Copenhagen is shit expensive 🌻🐝

First time in this bar. Arrived at 12.30 PM, the place quite full, the space is upstairs by few steps. Like a long and a bit large. Small tables with armchairs in one side along the wall and at the other side, the long bar. Decoration is pretty with chandeliers. Glassware is beautiful like in a British club. Once at the counter, you can see these quite beautiful bartenders (the greek one the best) are quite busy and not enough. They always stay at the begin of the bar, so if you are positioned at the end, th wait is considerable, maybe add a 3rd barman? Surrounded by danish 90%. No one smile, have a look or speak with you but at the end a nice big bloke start exchange with my pal and me. This time I got a nice beer more expensive than the draught I got in the previous bar. A large group of norway business men arrived, the ambiance started to take place. I couldn't stay longer because had a flight back home the morning after. Next time I will surely pop in again

Such a great place for a Sunday night wind down! Morton was such a great and wonderful bartender! It was a slow night, but he kept us entertained. My friends and I had such a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back Tuesday night for Karaoke night!!!

Centre Stage CPH was my first stop among the gay bars in Copenhagen, and I got lucky. The staff there are incredibly friendly and helpful. The decor sets a lot of the tone - the walls are lined with photos of queer icons, and movie posters from various camp classics. One standout feature of the bar is that they have one of the best collections of unique gins that I’ve seen anywhere. Drink prices seem to be about the same as anywhere else in Copenhagen. I will definitely be going back, and can definitely recommend this place to other gay visitors who are looking to connect with the local community.

Shared a lovely and relaxed afternoon at Center Stage with owner/bartender extraordinaire Morten on the eve of the 1 year anniversary. We stopped in early and were the only patrons for a while, so Morten gave a tour of the place and shared the history of the location (a gay bar opened there in the 1940s!). Made friends with a traveler from Australia and had a fun chat at the bar while sampling the various Hendricks gins on offer. Would be a first return location on our next visit!
