Le King Sauna sits in the 17th arrondissement, north of the Marais — not the most obvious location for a Paris gay sauna, but it's been operating long enough to have built a dependable regular clientele. The facilities are straightforward: steam room, dry sauna, private cabins, and a darkroom area. The crowd here tends to be Parisian locals rather than tourists — the 17th is a residential neighbourhood and the venue has a neighbourhood-bar feel to it in the best sense. A good option if you want a more local, less circuit-party atmosphere than the Marais alternatives.
