Ficken 3000 is exactly what the name says: a gay cruise bar on Urbanstraße, on the Kreuzberg side of Hermannplatz. Street level is a small, dim bar; the basement is a darkroom and play area. The crowd is men only, mixed in age and style, and most are there for sex rather than conversation. It opens every night from 9pm until 5am, or 6am on Friday and Saturday, and gets going after midnight, often as a stop after other bars close. Drinks are cheap by Berlin standards. Some nights carry a theme or dress code, so check the website. Downstairs, consent rules apply as everywhere: a hand pushed away is a no.

If it weren't so smoky, one could go there more often. Unfortunately, it's almost unbearable for non-smokers. It's a shame that Berlin is still stuck in 1985 when it comes to smoking. In every other major city, people pay attention to non-smokers and the health risks.

Good dance music and DJs, great atmosphere and nice people. Maybe not a place for the faint of heart, but great fun if you can handle something a little extreme and on the edge. We had a really fun night! Even though we have a different orientation than what is usual for this place.
