Hasenheide (Gay Cruising Area)

Volkspark Hasenheide, the big park straddling Neukölln and Kreuzberg, has been one of Berlin's best-known outdoor cruising spots for decades — second only to the Tiergarten. The action concentrates in the wooded rise around the old Rixdorfer Höhe on summer evenings from dusk onward. By day it's an ordinary, busy public park with playgrounds, an open-air cinema and a small animal enclosure, so keep the usual discretion after dark. Germany is welcoming and police rarely trouble consensual encounters, but ordinary urban awareness still applies.
