Hotel am Kantpark
Visitors frequently praise the Hotel am Kantpark for its affordable prices, convenient location near the train station, and friendly staff. However, many guests mention that the rooms are very small and the narrow, steep staircases can be a challenge, especially with luggage. Some also noted issues with the Wi-Fi not working well on higher floors and breakfast being mostly cold.

A very nice stay with kind owners and in a central location. Perfect for solo travellers passing through the area in need of accomodation for a good price and a central location in Duisburg.
Really friendly and helpful reception staff, too.
I had booked for two nights and notified them of my arrival in the afternoon in good time. However, no one was there, so I found myself standing outside the hotel in front of a locked door. Even after ringing the bell several times, no one answered, so I had to find another hotel. I was charged for the no-show – outrageous!
Not booked, only negotiated. The price on site was quoted randomly and verbally (instead of maintaining a consistent price level with the website). Hence the criticism. The reception staff were very friendly.
I was satisfied. Clean. Close to the train station. Friendly receptionist.
