Saaleaue / Kiesgrube (Pferderennbahn)

A long-standing outdoor cruising spot in the Saaleaue meadows near the Pferderennbahn (racecourse), west of the centre. The gravel-pit lake and its car park have been a known gay and bisexual meeting point for years, busiest in warmer months and after dark at the parking area. It is a public nature area, so ordinary discretion and respect for other users apply; Germany's laws are LGBTQ+-friendly, but public-sex rules still apply in the open.
