Restaurant Skyline Fine Dining

Unfortunately, our visit on July 29th was a disappointment. Over 50% of the wines by the glass were unavailable! The steak was ordered medium-rare and arrived well-done. On the second attempt, it was rare! Since the meat quality was at least good, I ate it more out of pity. The service was increasingly overwhelmed by the unpleasant situation (for which they were clearly not responsible). A real shame. The location with its fantastic view couldn't compensate for this. In my opinion, a clear case of management failure.

Nice atmosphere with a direct view of the Alster lake. Service was okay. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us. The truffle fries were very salty. The currywurst was okay, but I expected more for €19. The spaghetti for the children tasted good, but €15 was simply too expensive.

My wife and I had dinner here and were delighted. The food was outstanding – creatively prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. Every course was prepared with meticulous attention to detail. The service was also first-class: friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. The elegant atmosphere and the lovely view made the evening a truly special experience. A fantastic restaurant for a delightful evening for two. We will definitely return on our next visit to Hamburg. Highly recommended!

The food was good, but not good enough for fine dining, and the presentation wasn't particularly appealing. The service was rather mediocre, but the view was magnificent. Once was unfortunately enough.

Unfortunately, it's more style than substance… We ate there before going to the theater. You can tell it used to be an upscale restaurant, but you can also tell it's showing its age. As a complimentary amuse-bouche: white bread with a pat of butter. For the starter, a Caesar salad with five precisely counted tomato halves and five croutons. My wife had fish on a bed of spinach, and I had a steak with fries. For the price (around €50 for the set menu), I've eaten better elsewhere. The steak was quite gristly in places (but cooked to perfection). My wife said the fish was okay, but not worth €50… In the end, it wasn't the culinary experience we'd hoped for… The service was efficient, but there were mistakes, like simply placing fresh cutlery on the table without any placemat… Dessert wasn't worth the money… All in all, you can get many better options in Hamburg itself for the same price. The men's restroom smelled unpleasantly of urine. I'm not usually picky, but for a dinner for two costing over €200, these issues are unacceptable.

A wonderful experience! The welcome was so warm that we knew we were in good hands. We were a group of six and were shown to a lovely table. Our aperitifs were perfectly mixed and made for a great start to the evening. We shared the tomahawk steak, and it was absolutely amazing. I've never eaten such a delicious steak. It was even prepared right at our table. We enjoyed it with beans and crisp asparagus. It was simply divine. For dessert, we had crème brûlée, which was also incredibly delicious.

I invited my family here yesterday, and I'm absolutely thrilled! For context, it's important to mention that this was the first time my sister and I had ever dined at a fine-dining restaurant. We booked a table for around 4 p.m. The service staff was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere and the table we were given were breathtaking, located right by the panoramic windows, overlooking the water and the Landungsbrücken (St. Pauli Piers). The absolute highlight for me was the staff and the quality of the food. My sincere compliments go to the service and the kitchen! The fine line between attentive and intrusive was beautifully handled. Very thoughtful. The food was already delicious. I've never felt the urge to leave a review before. But what my family and I experienced yesterday, I want to share with the world. My utmost respect goes to this truly beautifully run establishment and the people who make it what it is. ``` We had a magical afternoon, a perfect start to a wonderful evening at the musical. A lovely restaurant with a great view. The service was very attentive, and the wait times were perfectly reasonable. The food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. I would gladly return anytime.
