Wasserturm Hotel Mannheim

Good day! I was a guest at the hotel from February 13th to 15th. The walls were partially dirty, there was graffiti on them, and a broken electrical outlet near the floor was very dangerous for small children. There were also broken light switches and vermin were visible in the bed. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place, and at €59 per night, it was far too expensive. Sincerely, Weicker

If only it weren't for the cleanliness problems...

A run-down dive of the lowest standard in a prime location. The price-performance ratio is unacceptable. Never again.

Unfortunately, the room wasn't very clean. There were long hairs in the shower. The mattress was very soft and worn.

Apesar da boa localização, o Hotel é para não mais repetir. Tudo muito velho e sujo, com aranhas, casa de banho sem água fria, cheia de cabelos no chão, pontos se sangue e toalhas a cheirar a lixivia. Disponibilizam apenas para Dusche dois mini sabonetes e dois minis saquetas de champoo. Sem Higiene nenhuma, horrível, só se salvam os lençóis trocados e frescos. Em compensação as camas e os colchões são horríveis. Pequeno almoço caríssimo, com pouca qualidade e variedade. As fotos falam por si. O staff é simpatico, mas nada resolveram.

Never again! The stay was a complete disappointment. The room was dirty and neglected, the bed linens looked stale, and it was far too cold. The toilet and bathroom were also unhygienic. To charge such exorbitant prices for this poor quality is outrageous.

We found a new hotel

Located near the city center, the hotel offers inexpensive parking. The city center is a 10-minute walk away. Yes, the room was very cheap, but it was probably the lowest quality room available. One faucet didn't work, the sink and floor were covered in hair, the bath towels were ripped (not just with small holes), and another faucet (as had been known for some time) had the hot and cold water connections installed backwards. The room door looked as if there had been several attempted break-ins.

Nightmare Tower would be a better description of this filthy dive. Upon arrival at 5 p.m., there was no one from reception to be found, even though check-in was supposed to be possible from 2 p.m.! Only by sheer luck did the manager appear after a few minutes, and the nightmare began. The rooms can only be reached via a crooked, dark hallway lit by neon lights. The first room we were supposed to stay in smelled disgustingly of stale smoke combined with an unidentifiable musty odor – what I imagine rat breath to be like. Naturally, we immediately checked the bed, and of course, it was filthy, with hair and bloodstains on it! When we asked for fresh bedding, the rude and unfriendly manager simply said: "You're welcome to go to another hotel!" He then offered us two alternative rooms, which, of course, were no better! In the end, we opted for the least smelly room. You can imagine that the bathroom was also disgusting. Starting with the toilet full of limescale, the filthy shower, and, as the highlight, a hairdryer that sounded like a jackhammer—it'll probably explode at any moment. Then, at three in the morning, a "special" clientele moved in, with aggressive shouting à la Talahon. In the end, I'm sure researchers could discover new viruses, bacteria, and maybe even living organisms in this dump. In short: After this horrible night, which left us itchy all over, we would have loved to boil ourselves and everything we had with us. Please, please don't be fooled by the pictures on the website and read other people's reviews!

Perfectly adequate for my needs! It was late at night and nothing else mattered 😜
