San Nicolo Pinewood (Lido)

The pinewood and quieter beach at San Nicolò, on the northern end of the Lido di Venezia near the old fort and lighthouse, is a secondary gay and cruising spot for the lagoon. It is calmer and less established than Alberoni at the southern tip, with activity concentrated in the tree cover away from the family beach. Italy is legally relaxed about such places, but as always be discreet and mindful of your surroundings, especially after dark.
