Что говорят посетители

Visitors often praise the friendly service and the good range of souvenirs and LGBTQIA+ merchandise, describing it as a cute shop and an "Aladdin's cave." However, some reviewers mention issues with opening hours not matching online information, and one visitor found the staff to be rude.

Об этом месте Pink Point Info Kiosk

Pink Point opened on 5 August 1998 as the world's first permanent LGBTQ+ tourist information kiosk. It's a small purpose-built glass-and-timber pavilion set on the Westermarkt sidewalk, directly adjacent to the Homomonument, staffed by rotating COC and Homomonument Foundation volunteers seven days a week from noon to six. The kiosk does what an LGBTQ+ tourist office does: it explains the Homomonument, sells guidebooks, hands out neighbourhood maps with queer venues marked, sells souvenirs whose proceeds fund the Homomonument Foundation, and provides context for the many international visitors who arrive at Westermarkt without knowing what the three pink triangles underfoot mean. Volunteers can point visitors to the current Amsterdam gay-map venues, provide historical detail on the Homomonument, and arrange guided walking tours. Staff typically speak English, Dutch, German, and one or two others; visitor questions range from "what's that pink triangle in the pavement" to research-grade LGBTQ+ history queries. In September 2019 Pink Point celebrated its 21st anniversary; it remains the international model that Berlin's Rainbow Berlin info point (2020) and San Francisco's Castro Visitor Center directly copied. Open daily 12:00-18:00 (extended hours in summer and during Pride Week). Free to visit. The interior is small — perhaps a dozen visitors fit comfortably — so the point of visiting is to talk briefly with a volunteer, pick up a guidebook or map, and continue the walk to COC or the Anne Frank House.

This place is a lifesaver if you need queer party accessories at the last minute and can't wait for delivery from an online shop. Flags, pin badges, sunglasses, postcards, bracelets, refreshments... This place has the lot. The range of accessories in the bisexual colours is particularly impressive.

Souvenirs, magnets, etc. are great here. Not too expensive and friendly service. That's not often the case in Amsterdam, so I definitely recommend coming here!
