Skeivt arkiv (Queer Archive)

Skeivt arkiv is Norway's national archive of queer history, run by the University of Bergen Library and housed in the humanities building (HF-bygget) at Sydnesplassen 7. It turned ten in May 2025. It collects letters, photos, organisation records and oral histories, and runs a reading room and a public website with articles on Norwegian LGBTQ+ history, including Bergen's own bars and activists. Visits to the collections are by arrangement, so contact the archive first.
