Lidar Hotel

Unfortunately, this isn't a suitable place for the average tourist, much less for a short stay on the way to work. It's very poorly located in a rather dangerous area, and sadly, the surrounding area feels unsafe. The facilities, in my case, weren't very good at all; upon entering, the place felt neglected. The only good thing was the bathroom, but everything else was terrible. I found several cockroaches in the room. I even had the misfortune of having one on my arm while I was sleeping. When I woke up in the bathroom, there were two more, and the next day, when I woke up, there were two more crawling around the room. Several colleagues have complained that their rooms hadn't been cleaned. The smell in the rooms is awful; it doesn't give you the peace of mind you need when you're traveling, whether for work or vacation. Honestly, it's a place I absolutely do not recommend.

The receptionist was wonderful. That's the only good thing we can say about the accommodation. In terms of value for money, it leaves much to be desired. The first room was quite dirty, there was hair in the fridge, the washing machine was dirty… after we complained, they moved us to another room, and each one was worse than the last.

The location isn't bad, as it's fairly central, but the neighborhood is definitely not the best to be in… (it doesn't feel very safe). The hotel itself is a 2/10 because all you get is a door, four walls (thin, but still four), and a roof. We arrived and our room had a full bathroom, a useless kitchen (since it didn't have any utensils whatsoever), a sofa, and a TV that was just okay. The bed is another story; I'd honestly sleep better in the car. You could feel the frame when you lay down… imagine the quality of the mattress and pillows—you'd think tree leaves were thicker (more padded) and more comfortable. The bed consisted of a duvet, a fitted sheet, and a peculiar smell emanating from it. Honestly, the price was completely outrageous, poor quality at a premium price, and the rooms were dirty and grimy. We found a cockroach as we were leaving our room, and the cleaning staff didn't pick it up; they just pushed it aside. Well, I think I'll stop there because I'm already making them look bad enough. Overall experience 1/10

For the price and location, it's a decent option; you can't ask for more. It has a kitchen and a refrigerator, although it only comes equipped with two dirty knives. The room is open-plan and has a dubious-looking bedspread, although I slept like a log. The worst thing is a leak in the hallway, which I had to cross using an umbrella. The area is multicultural and well-located, even if you see people doing some strange things.

Small room, full of ants even on the bed, air conditioning that malfunctions and is noisy, inconsiderate neighbors until late at night, no soap provided in the shower and it didn't seem very clean, and all this for €160! What a rip-off! Don't come here at all; there are much better and cheaper options. Besides, the receptionist with purple-dyed hair was, of course, rude and wouldn't even look you in the eye when she spoke to you.

The hotel is located in the worst neighborhood in Bilbao. As soon as you enter the apartment hallway, it smells bad. The room was filthy; we found diapers in the kitchen cabinet, everything was covered in fingerprints, the floor was littered with sunflower seeds, hair, stains, and food scraps. Besides the terrible smell, they only come in to change the towels but don't clean the room.

Very comfortable accommodation, pleasant reception staff, impeccable housekeeping. Good location.

A hotel for sleeping and little else. Basic decor, needs some maintenance. The location is good, next to Zabalburu train station, but at night you have to walk through a dangerous area if you're coming from the old town, although if you're just going about your business, it's not a problem. You can hear street noise. It wouldn't be bad if it were cheaper, but over 100 euros a night is outrageous.

No heating in the bathroom

Excellent service, clean room with brand new furniture. We initially booked a single double room, but they gave us an apartment with a kitchen, microwave, and refrigerator. It was very spacious. They also offered to let us check in before the agreed time, which was a nice touch.
