Great hotel, great staff, and everything was spectacular.

We are currently staying at Lopesan Baobab and what happened today is absolutely shocking and unacceptable with the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER after VIOLENCE INCIDENT AT THE POOL. This morning we wanted to relax by the pool, but there were no sunbeds available. The hotel had placed official warning notices on several unused sunbeds where only towels were left. These notices stated the current time and that the beds would be released after 1.5 hours if nobody returned. After the 1.5 hours had passed, hotel staff released several sunbeds to my family. About 30 minutes later, the previous users returned with their family. They immediately started aggressively shouting at us in Spanish, accusing us of taking their beds and belongings. We politely asked them in English to speak respectfully. Instead, they started throwing our belongings into the swimming pool. When we told them to stop, the man physically assaulted my partner and punched him twice in the face. Only after this did someone from the hotel arrive to remove the aggressive family. I asked whether the police should be called, but hotel staff advised us not to and instead told us to go to the police station ourselves to file a report. We then had to arrange and pay for our own taxi. After sitting at the police station for 2.5 hours, we were finally told through Google Translate because the officers spoke no English that we first needed a medical report before they could proceed. The police officer also stated that the hotel should have called the police immediately, because now the aggressor had already left. We returned to the hotel expecting support because there was supposedly a medic available. Instead, we were met by management/personal relations, and honestly it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The manager showed absolutely no empathy, responsibility, or willingness to help. She even tried to shift responsibility onto the tour operator, despite the assault happening inside the hotel at the pool area. We explained that there were witnesses and that the hotel could identify the aggressors through room numbers, but she completely ignored this. Being physically assaulted during a holiday is already traumatic enough. Being treated with complete coldness and indifference by both the hotel and the police afterwards made the situation even worse. At the very end, we simply asked whether the hotel could at least reimburse the taxi costs to the police station, especially since they advised us to go there instead of calling the police themselves. The manager of ‘personal relations’ sinically laughed, refused and walked away. It honestly feels like the hotel wanted to avoid having police present at the resort rather than helping physically assaulted guests after a violent incident. This has been THE MOST HORRIBLE and disappointing CUSTOMER SERVICE experiences we have ever had.

We had a great meal at Akara and thank you for the excellent service from Aday and Pablo. We will be back again.

Spectacular hotel, service, and attention. Special mention to the Pili Pili restaurant: spectacular food, top-notch service, and exquisite attention from Aday. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Magnificent hotel, a 5-minute walk from the beach. Very peaceful. Exceptionally pleasant. It has several swimming pools, many activities, and facilities for children. Furthermore, I am celiac, and the gluten-free food they offer (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) is very good. Excellent service. The ideal place to relax.

We came to the Pili pilli restaurant at the hotel and had such a lovely experience. The atmosphere is beautiful with a very unique African-inspired vibe and decor. The food was delicious, and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. Definitely a 5-star experience!

I've been several times already and it remains top-notch every single time!
