Very strange door policy

All our friends got in, but they wouldn't let me and another friend who was clearly with them in. When we said it was because they hadn't stamped our IDs, they didn't even give us the option to get one and be allowed in. A friend of ours went outside and explained the situation to the two security guards, but they still wouldn't let us in. It was 1:30 in the morning, they close at 3, and they closed the line around 1:30. Very disappointing. The doorman was incredibly rude and had an air of superiority. They really need to get their manners checked out. They let their girlfriends in, but not guys who were dressed so normally—not even remotely normal, to be honest.

I went to Subway with some friends on my first trip to Edinburgh and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was great and everyone was super friendly. It had all the usual club vibes, packed on a Saturday night and really lively, but the drink prices were decent and entry wasn’t too expensive either. The bouncer on the door was especially nice. We were waiting for a friend to join us and instead of them getting turned away later, he explained that they wouldn’t make it in time as they were about to close the queue, which I really appreciated. The music was good most of the time, with some interesting remixes here and there, but overall it was really enjoyable. The DJ took some requests from us, which made the night even better. Overall, I’d recommend it for a fun night out!

Best night club in old town located in cowgate area.

As usual, I had a terrible experience at this place. I'm in town on vacation and I heard about the Drag Bingo event, and I love that kind of thing, but I was barred at the entrance. I asked why, and the response was, "If the boss said you can't enter, then you can't enter," with a mocking and arrogant tone. It's sad to see a place that perpetuates this kind of attitude and doesn't change. Then it closes, and the problem is the LGBT community not supporting their own... If possible, I would have given it 0 stars.
