The Mandolay Hotel

I stayed at the Mandolay a few weeks ago and everything was lovely. Especially Scarlet, she upgraded my room at no extra cost, showed me to it and showed me how to use the Aircon unit. Extremely friendly customer service, great hospitality, and more importantly very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Right from the welcome we received on entering the hotel to when we left the service was great. Dyma was particularly great in that he was attentive but not intrusive. They also allowed us to put some birthday confetti on the table. A lovely venue in Guidford.

We've just spent 2 nights at the Mandolay hotel and cannot fault the facilities, and the excellent service from Louie, and the lovely lady on reception when we arrived on Thursday afternoon. (Sorry, we didn't note her name) The rooms are spacious, with a well stocked fridge of canned water.The tea and coffee provided was plentiful, with lots of choice. Breakfast was amazing, there was so much choice! The hot buffet was excellent, with quality produce on offer. The fresh fruit was beautiful, and there was a large range of baked goods. We would definitely return when in the Guildford area

Fabulous stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. Fabulous toiletries in the bathroom and beds are so comfortable. Brilliant service from our receptionist who looked after us so well to Louis the barman. Lovely breakfast 🌟

Location is brilliant for the high street and train station, The staff member who stood out for me was Callum on the bar, brilliant to talk to and cares about the guests, service from him was the best always there with a smile. The bedrooms could do with an update as it felt like I was in someone’s home and not a hotel. Food and drinks there was a good amount of drinks to choose from and the food seems a good amount quality wise nothing special. Would I come back? For the friendly staff definitely but it would still be a hotel I’d choose so yeah I would. Also if a guest ask “if I pre pay for breakfast then can I check in earlier” say yes.

I stayed at the Mandolay Hotel during August in a single room. The front-of-house staff were fantastic and incredibly helpful, even storing my luggage after check-out, which I really appreciated. However, the stay felt expensive for what was provided. The room was tiny with hardly any space to maneuver, the shower water pressure was low, and the lack of a lift meant hauling bags up the stairs. I didn't try the food during my stay, so I can't comment on the dining. Overall, while the service was great, the room comfort could certainly be improved.

Great stay! Yudis was very helpful and accommodating throughout. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it!

Great hotel, specifically asked work to book here. Aircon in room 😊 Don't be put off by paying to park. Paid £17 for 24 hours but was given a voucher for a drink at the bar. Very nice surprise.

My partner and I stayed here as a convenient base for the local music venue. The location is amazing and the service we received from the mandolay was second to none! We were checked in by scarlet- I recognised her name from the reviews I’d read before booking and she lived up to her reputation. She is incredible and such an asset to the hotel. Her ability to read a situation was admirable, conversational when appropriate, a simple greeting in passing. The hotel itself is charming, you get what you see, slightly creaky floorboards, but that’s the only “flaw” I could find. It’s an old building- you see what you get. We had an incredible stay and should we find ourselves in Guildford again there is no doubt to where we’d stay. Thank you Scarlet, and thank you to the whole team!

Lovely hotel, well placed for events at G Live which is just up the road from The Mandolay Hotel. Room was great, received an upgrade on check-in from Scarlet who was extremely helpful. All the staff were great, the breakfast was exceptional too. Car parking to the front of the hotel is a first-come pay & display basis, plenty of places. I used the secure hotel parking to the rear which I booked through reception, there was plenty of room. I only stayed one night but wish I could stay longer, will definitely book here again when I’m next in the area.

Stayed at Thr Mandolay for 1 night. It’s a beautiful hotel. The rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. Scarlet gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again 😊
