The London EDITION

The London EDITION is a stunning property in a flawless location, surrounded by fantastic dining and ideal for exploring the city. While our stay got off to a rocky start, the exceptional hospitality from key team members ultimately turned our experience around, ensuring we will definitely return. Having flown in from New York, we had notified the hotel weeks in advance of our 9:00 AM arrival. We completely understand that check-in is not guaranteed until 3:00 PM, but the front desk knew the entire time that we were exhausted and waiting in the lobby. After dropping our bags and returning at noon, we ended up falling asleep on the lobby couches from sheer jet lag. By 2:00 PM, the room was still not ready, and we were finally handed keys at 2:55 PM. No one provided proactive updates to let us know it would take until 3:00 PM, and waiting nearly six hours without being offered so much as a coffee, a drink, or breakfast felt surprisingly cold for a hotel of this caliber. To make matters worse, as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member who had booked a category above the standard base room, we were shocked to be assigned a tiny room facing a brick wall. However, the level of service we received afterward completely salvaged our trip: * Sophie at Reception: Absolute perfection. After we expressed our initial disappointment, Sophie took total ownership of the situation. She promised to make things right for the second, four-night leg of our stay—and she delivered. She placed us in a significantly superior room with a proper view and generously added complimentary breakfast for two nights. Her warmth, professional care, and empathy restored our faith in the brand. * Luai (Bellman): Welcomed us with genuine warmth and was a bright spot on our first day when bringing us up to the room. * Berners Tavern: Breakfast here was spectacular every morning—incredible food in a breathtaking setting. The property itself is gorgeous, and the majority of the team works hard to deliver top-tier hospitality. My only hope for management is that front-desk staff are given better tools and training to keep waiting guests updated and proactively comfort jet-lagged travelers during long delays. Sophie’s extraordinary effort turned a potential misstep into a memorable loyalty-building stay. We look forward to staying here again!

Great service, beautiful rooms, and wonderful location. Definitely a memorable stay.

We came to Berners Tavern for dinner on a rare child-free night, and spontaneously decided to stay the night at the edition! We absolutely loved it, and a real stand out feature were the staff. Every single person we interacted with was brilliant, starting with Sophie on reception who really joined in the excitement of a spontaneous stay, upgrading us and even making it possible to use Apple Pay (I hadn’t even brought my wallet out with me!). Then Diana took control in the restaurant, giving us a fabulous booth and making us feel really welcome. Sadik was our waiter and really helped us get the most out of visit, enjoying the salmon trolley and a cote du boeuf! The sommelier, whose name I’m afraid I didn’t catch, was also brilliant and helped us identify exactly the right bottle of brunello. Perfectly-made negronis in the bar rounded off the evening, along with a game of pool The room was also lovely with a really comfortable bed and particularly good pillows (usually a bugbear in hotels) All in all, it’s become our new favourite spot for everything from a drink to dinner to a cheeky stay. Thank you to a brilliant team!

BUYER BEWARE! This hotel is a bait and switch. It’s not at all what they display in their photo gallery. We chose this over the mandrake which is a beautiful hotel in Mayfair; and over Bank side at 1/6th of the rate, because of the Edition Brand. We’ve stayed at Edition in Miami and New York, and because of our experience we chose this in London over all the options, and it’s a fraudulent effort to trick patrons into their hard earned money. I do understand they had to retrofit an old building; and that creates limitations with space. But it’s no excuse to use cheap fixtures in the bathroom, with the shower squirting in all directions. The window sil peeling and falling apart. I’m not even 6’ tall and I can touch the top of the ceiling in the bathroom. If they couldn’t achieve the “edition” standard, they didn’t need to charge the rates they are. But people are booking off branding and false presentation. This DOES NOT feel like a 5 star, rather a 3 star! Photos attached, see yourself.

Second stay here from the US and this place is phenomenal all the staff are great and seem happy and ready to help. Bartenders and front desk staff are always so great!

For several reasons, I chose this hotel, and I can confidently say it was an excellent decision, far enough from the riffraff of soho and Chinatown yet close enough walking distance to the best restaurants. The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff provided outstanding service throughout my stay. Their professionalism and attention to detail truly reflect the high standards and reputation of the Edition hotel chain. Le Labo products keep you smelling fresh! Big shout out to Etter in the dining room for taking care of us during breakfast! Shoutout to Basil at the front helping with bags and genuine conversations while we kicked out front during my cigarette breaks.
