Prowler is the flagship of London's gay retail scene, anchored at 5–7 Brewer Street in the heart of Soho. The shop opened in the 1980s and has outlasted most of its competition — a reliable measure of how well it reads what its customers want. Two floors cover a wide range: designer underwear from a rotating roster of international brands, harnesses, leather and rubber accessories, sex toys, lubricants, and a decent selection of club wear. The staff know the stock and tend not to hover. Friday and Saturday hours push into the evening, and the Sunday opening at 1pm is later than most. It is the natural first stop for visitors who want a single shop for most of what the scene sells.
