Had a works leaving do it was a great place to hold it. The staff were great with quick service. Lots of things to do.

I've stayed here several times for business and it's been decent! The rooms are quirky with cool decor, and the service has always been efficient. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Reading. The only real downside can be the noise from the bar below or the events room above, but it usually quiets down after 11 pm. I like the easy self checkout, means I can leave early for work without all the rigmarole.

Came out with a group for a works evening. Great venue, great staff, great atmosphere drink prices are good also, will be coming back for sure.

Highly recommend staying here! Check in/out processes were very smooth and fast. The room was a great size, clean and had everything you need - it even came with a bottle of Corona included which you could exchange for a cold one at the bar. It was nice and quiet, I couldn’t hear the bar at all and I was on the first floor. The bar itself is very cool, a variety of games, sport on the TV, live music, a lot of seating and a large variety of drinks. I had the pizza and it was delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful as well. I’ll definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night, and really enjoyed the room. Great location for train station and restaurants. Easy check in. Elevator/ lift. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. And, some beautiful decor eg wallpaper and bathroom floor and tiles We both slept well: dark, very quiet, comfy bed, duvet, and pillows. Importantly, the place was WARM😁 Kettle, coffee machine, tea and coffee, and water. Also, a sofa and TV I would definitely come back and would recommend the place

Well appointed, spacious and stylish rooms in a great location. However, the absolute lack of a reception and receptionist as well as terribly thought through check-in options make this otherwise great place a nightmare for foreign travelers. (1) their check in window ends at 10pm. I let them know both through Booking.com as well as their own automated service that I would arrive after 11pm and that I needed the instructions for entry as soon as possible. I never ever received them. So, in the frigid cold, I walked from Reading Station to the hotel, only to find absolutely no one, no way to get in and would later find out that they still had not sent me information on how to get in. (2) there is a landline number on the door, but without a British cell phone, how would anyone be able to make this call? Luckily for freezing me, two young Brits walked by and kindly offered to call for me. When a sleepy woman answered and tried to tell me how to get in, the three of us couldn't follow her instructions. Finally, someone came to open the door and show me in. Rudely, he was not open to any feedback about the impossibility of checking in outside of their narrow window (which is absolutely permitted by them), and kept interrupting me. Furthermore, there is no place to leave luggage before 9am. Simply put, they need more staff and to have consciousness that many folks who may stay there may come from abroad. These are easy fixes with a bit of a think.
