I am writing this review because the management have responded to my review on Tripadvisor with complete misinformation. I was not told there was a private function so the whole of the bottom floor including bar and restaurant was closed to hotel guests when I made my booking. As my daughter is disabled and we had a dog with us this was a problem. I was not told on check in that the rooftop bar was open a security guard told me. I had a drink there but was told there were not serving food because of the private party downstairs - there was not food being served here as management claim. I expressed I was annoyed I couldn't find a dog friendly place to eat and was told that a nearby pub was ok - this was extremely dark and dingy. I was not told as management are claiming that staff were helpful and tried to help me find somewhere and gave me a list - they were too busy looking after the party goers downstairs

I had a fantastic stay at Market House! The room was beautiful and the decor was spot on, but the highlight was definitely the bed—it was super comfortable. I really loved all the thoughtful complimentary items provided; they were such a nice touch and made me feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. The staff were also incredibly helpful throughout my visit. My only tip for future guests would be to request a room on one of the higher floors to help tuck yourself away from any street noise. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay again!
