About this place Oakford Social Club

Oakford Social Club is a pub and late bar on Blagrave Street in central Reading, a few minutes' walk from the station. It has several rooms and runs DJs, live music and regular drag and cabaret nights, some with touring performers. It is a mainstream bar with a strong LGBTQ+ following rather than a dedicated gay bar. It rates 4.5 on Google from more than 2,000 reviews. It is one of the town's main stops during Reading Pride each September. Weekends are busy and loud, and weeknights are quieter. Check the venue's own listings for current drag and cabaret dates, as shows are not weekly.

Love music on a Friday. Good selection of drinks. Lots of space.

Met here couple times for drinks recently and really enjoyed my evenings. I haven’t yet tried the food but it certainly smelt good as a plate went past our table! Staff seem very friendly and service was quick at the bar

Absolutely love it here. Amazing drinks selection and the staff were very informative. A special shout out to Lucy and Gabriel for guiding me through the allergen menu and recommending me some super duper gluten free beers. Will definitely be back.
