One of the best hostel i have stayed in

Overall a decent budget stay, but the staff were rude and I would advise people to stay somewhere else honestly. It really made my experience here unpleasant. When I arrived, I was told I had to go out to another building and up to the fourth floor of my room. I mentioned I have an injured shoulder and could not carry my stuff up on my own, and the response was, "well you can make two trips." Zero offer to help even though there were several staff standing around. When I accidentally purchased fabric softener from the laundry vending machine, instead of detergent because the print was too small for my bad eyes to read and asked if I could get a refund of $2 since I didn't need it and didn't have any more change to dry my clothes, what followed was what felt like a full scale emergency response, involving front desk consultation, managerial approval, and careful review of policy with the answer being no, it was my fault. While I respect the hostels firm commitment to protecting 2$ worth of revenue stream it did strike me as a situation where the time, discussion, and administrative effort involved likely exceeded the value of the refund itself. The the experience felt unnecessarily rigid and the woman at th front desk was so hostile for such an insignificant thing, acting like I was asking for a kidney or something. There were other interactions too and just all in the interactions I had with staff left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Would not recommend

Get the hostel price with a hotel feel. Spread across two buildings, M Montreal is a converted condo. Hence the ensuites in all rooms and appliances in some dorms (available in all privates). The front building where you enter houses reception, luggage storage, open seating and dining areas, vending machines and a small kitchen. There's a smoking area outside to the right. To the left the entrance to the main housing building. The second building contains most, if not all rooms, a huge kitchen, common toilets and shower, a lounge area, laundry and access to the rooftop lounge. KITCHEN (7am-11pm): The kitchen/dining area is quite spacious. There are 4 large fridge + 2 smaller ones, 4 stove tops, 4 ovens, 2 microwaves and a kettle. It is equipped with pots, pans, utensils and cubbies for storing your dry food items. There's a decent amount of seating including bar-style facing the facing. Oh, there's also a vending and ice machine. Although the latter was not working during neither of my stays. LOUNGE: On the first floor next to the laundry. A few couches, table and chairs, it's a decent spot to get some work done. It is cold though. You can get in no problem but you need your keycard to get out. (Unless you're going outside, but not to return to the rest of the building. You can find a take/leave basket for items and a travel library. The biggest downside is that it has a wet dog/damp/sweaty smell. It's not too terrible, but definitely something you'll notice. SHOWER/TOILETS: If the toilet doors were be any closer, you'd have to sit sideways. There are also urinals and a toilet on the male side. You'll find 4 showers with changing and shower area separate so you can comfortably have your things, change and get dressed. A deep length long sink and a hand dryer. LAUNDRY: Wash and dry for a small fee. Located next to the lounge. TERRACE: A nice decently sized space with seating and hot tub. BAR: Downstairs of the main building houses the bar, a pool table, an entertainment stage, toilets and seating. OVERALL: A solid option for a short or extended stay. I highly recommend. Enjoy

I went there with my friend on Saturday June 13 for the first time, the customer service is very helpful and nice explaining everything to you on details to know around and enjoy your time there. Thank you for everything and you guys will see us more often there !! Def recommend booking there for everyone who’s looking for an amazing hostel in Montreal.

Me and my friend went on Saturday June 13 for the first time. The service is very helpful and amazing, the rooms are very clean and organized. Very grateful for having us over and explaining everything to us to enjoy our time there! One of my favourite places, I always visit Montreal so u’ll see us more often :)

Price was awesome, modernized, cleaner than most downtown mid hotels. Space was huge, bar service lacked downstairs. Probably best hostel I’ve stayed at, but I didn’t stay in the dorms.

The hostel is very well located. The welcome was excellent :) The rooms are very clean. Don't hesitate to stop by when you're in Montreal.
