SPECTRUM – Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space

Always looking forward to some athletics and community with Spectrum Sports. No matter what’s going on in my life, I can always count on Spectrum to get me out of the house and have some fun.

today was my first time going to a spectrum event (multisport drop in) and i had so much fun playing ball hockey and badminton as well as meeting fellow members of my community! i have always wanted a high-school gym class but with less competition and more people like me and that is exactly what spectrum’s drop-ins provide. aside from sports they do so much great work for the community and deserve far more attention!

Spectrum sports programs are fantastic. Facilitators Troy and Kita and all the volunteers make the program welcoming and fun for everyone in the 2SLGBTQ community. Great place to have fun and meet great people in the community. I personally have made many friends through the program that I wouldn’t have, had there not been this amazing service.

Spectrum has been such a great way to meet people in KW, I love going to the drop in sports! It's always very hassle free, great vibes, low stakes, and a great way to be active and social!!
