SPECTRUM – Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space

SPECTRUM – Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space is the main LGBTQ+ community organisation serving Cambridge and the wider tri-cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. Based in downtown Kitchener, roughly 15 minutes north of Cambridge, SPECTRUM runs more than forty peer-support and social groups each month, including trans peer support, a 50-plus group (Spectrum Prime) and gatherings for LGBTQ+ newcomers. Founded in 2012 and volunteer-driven, it is a community hub rather than a bar or nightlife venue, and a good first point of contact for visitors who want to connect with local queer life.
