Curatorial Conversation: Sergio Suárez

Atlanta-based artist Sergio Suárez explores the passage and presence of time through print, sculpture, and ceramics, in conversation with the Carlos Museum’s permanent collection in the exhibition Anamnesis. Join Ruth Allen, curator of Greek and Roman Art, and Andi McKenzie, curator of Works on Paper, for a lively discussion with Suárez. Together they will explore his construction of a new mythos rooted in ancient Mesoamerican and ancient Greek cosmologies and material culture and discuss connections to philosophy, astrophysics, the history and practice of printmaking, and colonial legacies of Catholicism.
