Hippie Hollow Park

Hippie Hollow is Texas' only legally clothing-optional public park, and for decades its far end — past where the paved walkway gives out, around sections 3 and 4 — has been the gay section. Sundays are the big days, and on Splash weekend (Memorial Day and Labor Day) the coves fill with boats and half of gay Texas.

Know before you go: the park is county-run and patrolled — nudity is legal here, sexual activity is not, and rangers do enforce it. Open 9am to sunset, cash entry fee, no glass. Sturdy shoes help on the limestone terraces. Be discreet, pack out what you bring in, and respect the space.
