Bunk House Lodge

My two-day stay at the Bunkhouse Lodge in Breckenridge was truly memorable. The place has a quaint, charming character that immediately makes you feel at home. You can tell a lot of care has gone into maintaining it - Mitch, the owner, has done a wonderful job preserving its unique feel while keeping everything welcoming and comfortable. His attention to the space really elevated my stay and made the whole experience feel personal and special. I’d gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy spot in Breckenridge.

My fiancé and I had an amazing time staying at the Bunkhouse. Super unique place that we found to be a safe place to rest after the mountain. Mitch (owner) makes your stay feel homie, like a host having his friends over for the weekend. Right next to a bus stop, makes it very easy to reach town. Has a nice hot tub which is essential after a long day of snowboarding.

Absolutely incredible little spot for a mountain weekend getaway. Mitch, the host, goes to great lengths to accommodate everyone and make them feel right at home. I also had the chance to meet some great people and make some new friends. I can’t wait for another opportunity to visit, and I’ll definitely be staying more than just a single night next time.

Bunkhouse lodge is the best place to stay for vacation in Breckenridge

This is a unique lodge with an incredibly wonderful location, host, as well as the lodge itself. I have travelled to all 50 states and 103 countries and confidently state this is one of the best, if not the best I’ve stayed in. The host has and shares his extensive knowledge of the area and state: he entertains his guests, according to their interests. Great ultra modern kitchen and bathrooms. Building is on the National Registry of Historical Places. Location is perfect: located on Main Street, with free bus transportation located in front, providing access to all surrounding towns/resorts. 5+

An amazing comfortable place to stay. I stopped in to enjoy a concert at the NRO on a cross-country road trip. Bunk House was able to keep my dog engaged while I attended the concert. The bedroom was comfortable and the host was very friendly. I will certainly stay again.

I was skeptical about using shared lodging, but I quickly changed my mind the second I arrived at Bunk House Lodge! We did book a private room, but there is shared lodging as well that looks very suitable for solo travelers. I loved absolutely everything about this place! It’s not even 10 minutes from downtown Breckenridge, and the host, Mitch, is such a beautiful human with the kindest and most welcoming soul. I HIGHLY recommend staying here, and I’ll be returning in the future for sure! Thank you so much, Mitch!!

The Bunkhouse Lodge is a uniquely eclectic experience, reminiscent of what queer-community culture used to be. A safe, shared space to meet, mingle, and rest. The only thing better than the ambiance is Mitch himself; the perfect blend of friendly, accommodating, and playful. We had a wonderful two-night stay and look forward to next time.

My time at Bunkhouse was fantastic. Mitch is a phenomenal host and made my friends and I feel right at home.

My partner, our pup & I just had a wonderful staycation at the Bunk House Lodge in Breckenridge. What an awesome gem 💎 & home away from home! We were super excited to stay over Breck Pride🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ weekend to celebrate The Bunk House becoming a National and Colorado Historic Registered Place!🙌🏼 As a late 1800s cabin rich with history especially in the LGBTQ+ community this is a very unique place to experience. A loving fun relaxed vibe with plenty of space to relax and enjoy, including a big outdoor hot tub with awesome Mountain Views😍and a super comfortable bed and high quality cozy bedding🛌 Mitch is such an excellent and sweet host & his pups are so darling. We also had fun meeting other great people staying st the Bunk House over good coffee and a nice continental breakfast— an extra treat of a positive experience to start the day. If you want to add something truly special & Historic to your trip to Colorado, this is a perfect place to put on your list💝 We miss our stay already & look forward to staying again in the future!

The bunk house is the best thing about Breck! First off, Mitch (owner) is amazing. He cares so much about the historical value of the bunk house and also the current guests. Everyday was a separate and genuinely incredible experience. The free bus to the mountain ran every half hour. The free bus to other mountains ran every hour. And the bus stop is right at the corner by the bunk house. Every night took on its own fun vibes based off of the people staying that day. Some nights were a party while other nights were games. And the hot tub (clothing optional) was such a perfect way to end a day in the snow. Couldn’t recommend enough and plan to be there every winter for the rest of my life. Thanks so much Mitch, and can’t wait to see you next year! PS. His dogs are sweethearts.
