Hotel La Croix - Гонолулу, Гавайи

We’ve stayed here twice in the last two years and its location is perfect walking distance from the beach and all activities on Waikīkī. We love the pool and the abc store downstairs . Great views and the rooms are very clean and cleaned every day . Shuttles and tours pick up directly out front from the hotel making it easy to explore other areas of the islands .

My wife, Lynn, and I stayed at the hotel La Croix Waikiki May 5-9 and had one of the best times ever. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing in every respect. Everyone remembered our names and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We arrived early and no problem our room was ready and it just got better after that. We would stay there again no doubt. And the fried rice in the breakfast bar is the best I've ever tasted😉

Absolutely magnificent experience during our stay at Hotel La Croix! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The room itself was spacious for the two of us, and it was conveniently located in Waikiki; not too close where it was loud, but still super close to the beach. I feel that the value was amazing, and would stay again. Special shoutout too Cory and Chiqui for making our stay special and smooth out logistics. The best front desk experience I've ever had. The bellman (I forgot his name) was amazing too and kindly helped us store our luggage.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights on a recent visit. You can tell this is an older hotel but it has been renovated well. However, when I tell you the staff offered top-notch customer service would be an understatement. While they were all great Vince, Cheeky and Quinton were who met us at check in were the best! Making sure all our needs were met, giving direction and suggestions on places to visit and/or eat and also very personable. The breakfast was delicious and the gentleman working that area(whose name I forget)was absolutely amazing too. Wow wow wow. I have not experienced this type of customer service in years. My only suggestion is for the hotel to invest in more irons to service more guests with less wait time. Other than that this is a great place to stay!

Great hotel! Very friendly service. The room was pretty basic but it got the job done. The included lounge for oceanview+ rooms was a bit underwhelming. The pool was awesome and the head bartender is a gem! Resort fee is way too high! That was not a welcome surprise at check in.

I can’t say how pleased we were with this hotel. We were greeted warmly and helped with our luggage. Chiqui was so sweet helped us get a cab helped with our luggage. The room was amazing on top floor. Beautiful pool and bar. We got a day pass and the room was amazing. Balcony, safe, refrigerater and lovely shower. The man at the desk helped us directions to beach and provided free beach chairs and water. We felt so welcomed thank you Hotel La Croix for making our last day in Hawaii a great one.

Pros: Decent price aside from resort fees (it’s definitely not a resort). Staff were all very kind and welcoming. Miles in valet was especially friendly and gave great local tips. The ABC Store directly outside was also extremely convenient for snacks, drinks, quick breakfasts. We were also pleasantly surprised that we were able to check into our room a couple hours early. Cons: Unfortunately, many of the “updates” felt like a classic “landlord special,” just layers of paint and caulk over existing issues. The bathroom had mold with those areas covered in repeated thick layers of paint and the tub itself began peeling after use. We specifically booked a balcony room because morning coffee on the balcony is one of our favorite parts of traveling. After the hotel updated its website/booking system, we lost access to our reservation details entirely. So we could no longer review room descriptions or details ourselves, and in the end we didn’t get one, I added a photo of what we booked that specifically states balcony. Rooms do not include microwaves or coffee makers, which was inconvenient as there is only one microwave in the lobby. The TV appeared to be smart capable with streaming buttons on the remote, we specifically planned to use for family movies in the evenings with our streaming accounts. However, it only functioned as basic live TV. We could only use channel up/down and volume it would not even let us navigate the channel guide. The room constantly felt damp and humid inside even though it was cool. We understand Hawaii is humid, but haven’t had this issue before. Bedding, clothing, and the room itself always felt slightly damp, making sleeping awful they have no dehumidification system or it was not working. The elevator doors were also concerning. They close extremely fast and dont properly recoil when they hit someone. I was hit by them multiple times and saw the same for other people including a mother with a stroller. Housekeeping was inconsistent limited to towel replacement which was inconsistent in itself some days we got 2 others 4 just random. We also saw cockroaches in the parking garage, elevator and the room. The area didnt feel safe at night. On our first night we accidentally walked 1–2 blocks too far and quickly found ourselves in a poorly lit area with graffiti, people yelling, a man who was mentally unwell screaming at nothing and an overall unsafe feeling. This became more frustrating because the property is fully non smoking, including outside areas, meaning smokers/vapers have to leave hotel property entirely and stand on public sidewalks at night. I was approached multiple times by homeless individuals and strangers asking for money, to borrow my phone, just pacing around me. One man even grabbed my phone trying to get me to order him an Uber and would not leave me alone afterward. I never experienced this during prior stays where the properties had designated, well lit, smoking/vaping areas. We considered switching hotels, but doing so last minute would have had additional costs and loss of valuable vacation time. Check in also became awkward regarding lounge access. We had previously been offered a waitlist for a possible discounted room upgrade if available, and lounge access came up. We understood the upgrade was never guaranteed, but when I later asked if lounge access could simply be added separately, staff implied it was only available through upgraded rooms. Later, on a paper they gave with general info clearly stated lounge access could be added for $25/day per person, but by then we just left it alone. There was also someone’s gunk backing up into our tub as it had sand in it repeatedly and we had not gone to the beach. In conclusion, we would not stay here again. It was affordable when we originally booked and looked beautiful and welcoming in social media videos, and the staff themselves were friendly. However, the room conditions, surrounding area, reservation issues, and overall experience are enough that we would choose a different property on our next visit.

Great location! Central to Waikiki, it is in walking distance to the beach, park, and high end malls. Service is amazing! Probably one of the most friendliest, service-oriented hotels I've been to. Special thanks to Janice, who made us feel welcomed from the beginning. The remainder of the staff that helped us with other items were fantastic; Princess and Carlos.

We did a day room here after our cruise. It was perfect to relax, use the pool and then clean up before our flights. The hotel was very clean and the staff wonderful
