Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort

Im handicapped, I. A scooter and wheelchair. stayed June 6th to the 10th. Handicapped room 443. It was amazing Daniel was awesome at the bar, I. Bad with names, but they were all perfect. Every single person that works their.but names that i can remember are Vic, Destiny, and Ricky.. I wish I could list every name that works there, id rate them much higher than a 10!!

UPDATE 6/12: Update based on the response from the general manager Justin Simpson moving to a 1 star. It’s clear that this location fails to take accountability for their shortcomings if the focus on our response was the outlets, tv, and room and not the overall condition of the hotel itself. Not to mention that we had to call back to the hotel after this review was posted, because our amex credits were still not SHOCKINGLY enough applied. So did the team member really help us? No. If you want to stay at a glorified motel 6… Justin and his staff will surely take care of you. We chose Kimpton Shorebreak based on American Express recommendations. We were in town for a wedding and hoped the hotel would be the least stressful part of the trip, but unfortunately that was not our experience. Before arrival, we noted that we might need an early check-in due to travel changes. We understood this could not be guaranteed and were happy to wait for the first available room. However, after arriving, we spent nearly four hours in the lobby and were repeatedly told that no rooms were ready. Later, another employee informed us that a room had actually been available for some time but had never been assigned to us. He also discovered that our American Express benefits had not been applied to the reservation. During the wait, we noticed other guests receiving a much warmer welcome, including information about amenities and property features that were never shared with us. After finally receiving our room, our key repeatedly failed to work, requiring multiple trips back to the front desk. The room itself was disappointing. It felt dated, was not as clean as we expected. The view from our standard room overlooked a rundown neighboring structure that significantly detracted from the overall experience. My wife couldn’t even do her hair in the mirror for the wedding because the outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. During our final two nights, persistent squeaking noises from the walls or ceiling further detracted from the stay and made it difficult to fully relax. The room service experience was also frustrating, as the in-room TV menu was incomplete and the room service phone line was not working when we tried to place an order. To be fair, not every staff interaction was negative. We appreciated the employee who ultimately resolved our room assignment and helped correct the issues with our reservation. We also genuinely enjoyed several aspects of the property, including the restaurant, the complimentary beach gear, and the activities offered for guests. That said, we were disappointed to find a hair in our butter during our last meal, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. It truly was such a series of issues that we didn’t even have time to complain due to the timeline we were on for every single thing that went wrong. Unfortunately, the combination of service issues and cleanliness concerns ultimately outweighed those positives. Given our experience, we would likely choose to stay elsewhere on a future visit to the area.

Stayed two nights with my family. The staff were the best part. Very friendly and accommodating. So many nice amenities. We had smore kits both nights, checked out beach gear, had happy hour beers and visited the coffee bar. One of the few hotels to earn the resort fees. Would recommend over the Hilton. Much more personable. Amazing rooms. We even ate breakfast at the restaurant. Amazing food and service.

I stayed about a month at the shorebreak! I had a blast! They treat you like family and the environment has a very warm vibe. Easy access to the beach and several restaurants and bars near by.

Amazing vacation spot! We enjoyed the complimentary coffee/tea bar, social hour, and smores. The welcome beverage was delicious! Pet friendly and walking distance to the beach!

Love this place

Arturo was very good to us when checking in! He made sure we had an excellent room and we had some drinks at the bar. So far, a great experience. Anna also checked on us today. They are very accommodating and the rooms are lovely. We appreciate the retro vibe and the LP Player.😊👍

What's not to like about a nice hotel minutes from the pier in HB? Don't be misled by Google Maps though - the address may be PCH but the entrance is on 5th street

We stayed at shorebreak a few times now. My wife and kids love an ocean front room. Just spend a little extra you will not forget it. Grab a smores kit enjoy the court yard. Grab a drink at the bar, the staff is awesome and very accommodating. The Manager of the hotel is great, Anna made sure we had been taken care of very well for our stay. Also the restaurant on property for breakfast can not be beat. Amazing waitress and good food. Just a walk accross the street and you are at the pier. We will definitely come back and stay some more.
