Ibis Bay Beach Resort

Extremely disappointing experience. We made our reservation on June 19 at approximately 11:00 PM.They accepted our reservation, confirmed the booking, and immediately charged our card. Only after the reservation had been accepted and paid for did we receive an email containing check-in information and restrictions. If late arrivals were not allowed, the hotel should have clearly displayed this before accepting the reservation and taking payment. Accepting a booking first and only then providing information that prevents guests from checking in is misleading and unacceptable. The hotel also advertises a 24/7 front desk. However, when we arrived at 1:00 AM, the lobby was completely closed, the doors were locked, and there was nobody available to assist us. We called all phone numbers provided by the hotel multiple times, but nobody answered. We then contacted Booking.com for assistance. Even Booking.com representatives were unable to reach the hotel. We were left stranded in the middle of the night with a confirmed and paid reservation but no way to access our room. Fortunately, Booking.com helped us cancel the transaction and resolve the payment issue. However, this does not change the fact that the entire situation was extremely unprofessional. Accepting reservations after check-in hours, charging guests, advertising a 24/7 front desk, and then being completely unreachable when guests arrive is unacceptable. This experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted valuable vacation time, and showed a complete lack of customer service. I would strongly advise future guests to be very cautious when booking this hotel, especially if arriving late at night.

This place was spectacular. We had a room on the ocean side and got to see so much wildlife. I would come back and stay here again.

Fine for one night. My husband and I weren’t in the room that long. However the bathroom was not very clean and there were bugs all around the sink and counter top very disgusting. Definitely needed to be cleaned better.

This was our first visit to Key West, and we chose the Ibis. It has a good location and several amenities. The girl who checked us in wasn't very friendly. The room was quite small, as was the bathroom, but it was nicely decorated and clean. We stayed in the building across from the pool on the second floor. The pool was great; we saw that it had a restaurant, but we didn't eat there. The facilities are old but well-maintained. The only issue was that both days (Saturday and Sunday mornings) from 7:30 am onwards, there was noise from cleaning and trucks unloading, so we couldn't sleep in. They have chairs and hammocks facing the beach, which are very relaxing at night, perfect for enjoying the sound of the ocean. They also provide towel service for the pool and beach. Ultimately, the hotel is very expensive for the experience; I think there are better options.
