Sugar Maple Trailside Inn

We loved our stay at the Sugar Maple Trailside Inn. The innkeepers are fantastic - very accommodating, very knowledgeable about the history of the area and biking in the area, and overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The innkeepers, Kathy and Craig, are lovely, welcoming, and very interesting. The house is charming and conveniently located. We definitely recommend Sugar Maple 🍁

Kathy and Craig are the best hosts! Everything about the Inn was beautiful. Breakfast was very nicely prepared by the hosts. We were there for a family event so unfortunately we did not have time to explore the surroundings, but the Inn would be the perfect place for bikers, hikers or any visitor to use as a base. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend. Craig and Kathy were very accommodating when our train ended up getting in later than expected. They also gave us great suggestions for things to do, including some self-guided historical walking tours which we really enjoyed. Breakfast every morning was a treat, and the bikes and proximity to the bike path made our stay absolutely magical - we biked to Northampton and to Easthampton really easily. Florence is also a very cute little spot with a lot within walking distance. And Thelma and Louise stole our hearts! We loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

My wife and I had a short but lovely stay at the Sugar Maple Trailside Inn. The house was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and Kathy and Craig were accommodating at every step. We are hoping to come back soon!

Craig and his wife were fantastic hosts. We had a great breakfast and a great bike ride on the beautiful rail trail.

A wonderful stay. Convenient, clean, accommodating, friendly. Craig & Kathy are great folks. Kathy makes the granola for breakfast & runs out very early morning for local baked goods. Their dog & cat are friendly & lovable. I look forward to going back. They care about their community & their guests with equal passion.

Craig and Kathy are perfect hosts; breakfast was yummy and plentiful; the price was right; the rooms were fine and the location amazing for us birders and history buffs.

A great, quiet, B&B in the heart of Northampton. The rooms are comfortable, and Craig and Kathy are gracious, accommodating host. Craig is a font of local knowledge. I learned so much about the history of Northampton and the development of New England's rail trails.
