Four Seasons Hotel And Residences Fort Lauderdale

We recently stayed at Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and I leave with very mixed feelings about the experience. The property is beautiful, and by the end of our stay, we encountered several employees who were genuinely kind, gracious, and interested in making things right. Unfortunately, the overall experience leading up to and during the stay was far more complicated than I would ever expect from a Four Seasons. The frustration began shortly after making our original, non-refundable reservation through American Express for July 25–27. Less than 24 hours after booking, I contacted American Express simply asking to add the night of July 24. I was not trying to cancel or shorten the reservation — only extend our stay by one night. American Express contacted the hotel, but I was told the hotel would not allow the additional night to be added to the existing reservation and that I would need to make a completely separate booking. The difference was significant: approximately $800 for the separate night compared with roughly $300 had the night been added through the Amex reservation. What should have been a very simple request became days of calls, messages, and being redirected between American Express and the hotel. Communication before arrival was another disappointment. Reaching the appropriate person at the hotel and obtaining clear answers was much more difficult than expected. Eventually, after escalating the matter through the hotel’s WhatsApp service, management became involved, and the tone of the experience began to improve. During the stay, however, we encountered another confusing issue regarding our American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits. We were initially told that we were not entitled to the FHR benefits because the reservation had been made through “Amex Travel.” That explanation was extremely confusing, particularly considering the way the reservation had been booked and presented. Amy eventually contacted me directly in the room. She was kind, professional, and apologetic, and I genuinely appreciated her willingness to listen to what had happened and try to turn the experience around. The hotel ultimately addressed the benefits, including the daily breakfast credit for two and the $300 property credit. I want to emphasize that the people we interacted with toward the end were lovely, and their kindness is the reason this review is not entirely negative. But luxury hospitality is not only about how a hotel responds after a guest escalates a problem. It is also about making things seamless from the beginning. For a Four Seasons, I expected communication to be clearer, problems to be resolved more proactively, and the guest experience to feel effortless. Instead, I spent a surprising amount of time during what was supposed to be a special anniversary trip trying to understand reservations, benefits, credits, and conflicting information. In the end, I appreciated the individuals who stepped in and showed genuine care. But the overall service experience did not consistently meet the standard I associate with the Four Seasons name. Beautiful property and some wonderful people, but the service process needs improvement — especially communication, coordination between departments, and handling of American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts reservations.

One of the worst Four Season to which we have been. Long line for check-in; horrible Internet speed; long wait to get our car from valet on the way to the airport (over 25 minutes). The room was sterile and uninspired. The bathroom was tiny, especially for a one bedroom suite. The food at the pool was mediocre at best, and they got our room service order wrong. On the positive side, the gym was good for a hotel gym and there were some really nice, hardworking people as part of the staff. Overall it just did not meet our expectations, and was not worth the cost of our suite.

Our stay at the Four Seasons was truly unforgettable and the perfect place to celebrate my husband's birthday with our 8-week-old baby. Traveling with a newborn can feel daunting, but Madison the concierge, made everything effortless from the moment we initiated conversation. Before we even arrived, Madison went above and beyond by arranging a diaper pail, bottle warmer, and microwave to be placed in our room. Having those thoughtful amenities ready upon arrival made caring for our little one so much easier and immediately made us feel welcomed after our travel down. We stayed on the fourth floor and loved our spacious room and balcony. It quickly became one of our favorite spots, where we enjoyed quiet breakfasts each morning while our baby peacefully napped in the stroller beside us. The only downside of staying on this floor was the handicapped shower, which we had water intrusion issues with. However, we did book this room category. As the days went on, we looked forward to seeing Madison, Shane, and Jerred. Each of them was genuinely kind, approachable, and engaging. They took time to connect with us in a meaningful way instead of simply completing the responsibilities within their role. While everyone we encountered was professional, these three stood out because their warmth felt sincere. They made us feel valued, and their level of hospitality is exactly why we stay at properties like the Four Seasons. They are incredible representatives of the property, and I hope they receive the recognition they deserve. We booked this property for the beachfront location and not only did we enjoy the views from our room and the pool deck, but we also enjoyed watching little ones play put put on the first floor. One afternoon, we took our baby to the beach for the first time and he could play in the sand. The property provided shade over the pool, allowing us to enjoy the pool deck with our little one without having to worry about high UV exposure for our baby. Marquise, our incredibly attentive server, and the tall African American gentleman at the pool who kindly provided towels (I regret not remembering his name, sorry sir.) embodied the same exceptional values as the other wonderful staff members we’ve mentioned above. We are incredibly grateful for their outstanding service and the way they went above and beyond to further enhance our experience. The sweetest surprise came the day before we checked out when Madison gifted our baby a Four Seasons towel embroidered with our baby's name, along with an adorable teddy bear. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to our family. Earlier this year we were gifted a Ritz Yacht robe, this personalized towel will be another cherished keepsake that reminds us of such a special trip for many years to come. Upon check-out, Jerred noticed that I was alone with the baby and some luggage. He promptly took the initiative to grab a cart and head to our floor to assist with the rest of our luggage. He remembered our car and floor number, so I didn’t have to provide any additional information. What a star! The people are what made this vacation so memorable. Thank you Madison, Shane, Jerred, Marquise, and the tall African American gentleman at the pool providing towels are the reason we will gladly return. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday getaway so incredibly special.

Such a great place to stay. You are treated like a king and everything is done to 11.

This was our first experience at the four seasons and it did not disappoint! Every staff member is here to make your stay memorable and meet your every need. We were here celebrating my 40th birthday and our anniversary and several times the staff went out of their way to celebrate us! The beach concierge is so much fun and take really good care of you. Honey Fitz is a super fun cocktail bar at which we got to watch both the final and 3rd place Fifa match. Atmosphere is great. We had breakfast on our balcony and Nichole really went out of her way to make it special. It was like having a waitress at a private restaurant! And the breakfast was delightful! Evelyns is a 4 star Michelin restaurant and is outstanding. Given the opportunity, we'll definitely be back.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel & Residences Fort Lauderdale for our anniversary, and it was truly a 10/10 experience. We travel frequently and stay at many luxury hotels, so it’s rare for a property to exceed our expectations the way this one did. The exceptional service started before we even arrived. Amy was wonderful with communication, helped us secure an early check-in, and even surprised us with a room upgrade for our anniversary. When we entered our room, we were greeted with a beautifully decorated bed, chocolate-covered strawberries, and Acqua Panna water waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely celebrated. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and beautifully appointed. We loved the Intracoastal view, the oversized bathroom with both a soaking tub and a large walk-in shower, and even appreciated little details like the in-room speaker that made the stay feel even more luxurious. Every dining experience on the property was outstanding. Evelyn’s quickly became one of our favorite restaurants for both breakfast and dinner. Karina took care of us each morning and was incredibly attentive. What stood out most was how the staff remembered our names and made us feel welcome every day. At dinner, bartender Justin was equally fantastic, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions since we had just arrived. His hospitality really enhanced our stay. The pool area, while smaller than some resorts, was never overcrowded and was impeccably maintained. The attendants were attentive, complimentary sunscreen was always available, and the poolside food and cocktails were excellent. What impressed me most was how flawlessly the staff handled an unexpected challenge. During our stay, the Norway national soccer team arrived for the FIFA Club World Cup, creating a sudden influx of guests. Despite that, the service never skipped a beat. Everyone remained warm, attentive, and professional—you would have never known they were accommodating such a large, last-minute group. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale has absolutely earned our loyalty, and I can’t see us staying anywhere else when we visit the area. Every member of the team made us feel valued, and that’s what truly sets this property apart.

Excellent property. Property is really nice, I’d give it a 4.75 / 5. The staff was top notch - every single employee is a 6 / 5. Well located across the beach. Some minor quibbles - 1) fitness center is quite small and not enough treadmills 2) pool area is small and can get a little cozy Maas the Michelin star restaurant is delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a beach getaway in Fort Lauderdale.
