King Clarence

Great food, would definitely recommend the claypot rice, they prepare that dish perfectly everytime. Went back in 2024, fell in love with their raw menu and swore we’d be back. It does seem they’ve changed the raw dishes up slightly since then, which is to be expected but still a shame. Great service, great ambience, and enjoyable food, would recommend.

We were really excited to spend date night at King Clarence and were hoping for an outstanding experience. Sadly, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. We were greeted warmly, and the host kindly squeezed us in after it appeared our booking hadn’t been confirmed. However, service throughout the night felt a little disconnected. Our waitress seemed somewhat aloof, and there was very little guidance on the menu or when placing our order. The fish bao entrée was delicious, although the sauce was a little too salty. Overall, we found some of the entrée flavours overpowering, and the dumplings were dry. Our mains took quite a while to arrive, so we ordered additional dishes. When the crispy pork belly eventually came out, we realised it was a very large portion and also quite dry—more suited to sharing between four people than as an extra dish for two. On a positive note, the sommelier absolutely nailed the wine recommendation, and the atmosphere was lovely. We generally love Bentley Group restaurants—Eleven Barracks was superb—so this visit was disappointing by comparison. Unfortunately, we probably won’t return to King Clarence, and we did find ourselves wishing we’d tried their newly opened restaurant, ASHE, instead. A small final detail: it also felt a little odd having to collect our own coats from the door on the way out

Food and service was quite good but for the price we paid ($200pp for the banquet, drinks and tip) ... there are better places at a cheaper price in Sydney.

We randomly decided to stop by around Saturday lunch time, with no reservation. We didn’t read anything about this place upfront but we were so blown away by the uniqueness of each dish. Also all the staff members that spoke to us were so nice and friendly. We’re already planning our next visit because we are so curious to try other items on the menu. This place is such a gem 🤩

Delicious mod Asian, nice interiors, DJ playing cool tunes

Every dish absolutely blew our mind with explosions of flavour, each more surprising and unique than the previous one. Our waitress, Ink, was a fountain of bubbly enthusiasm and helpful advice about which dishes to try. It was a super fun vibe - would love to come again!

We had an unreal team dinner last night with each dish getting oohs and aahs from the group! Friendly service and completely funky venue, it’s hard to believe that this was once a commonwealth bank branch. The dishes are immaculately presented with accompanying flavour to boot! We had a lovely time and this contemporary Asian restaurant
