關於此地 King Clarence

King Clarence is a restaurant at 171 Clarence Street in the Sydney CBD, cooking modern Asian food with a focus on charcoal and grilled dishes. It is a mainstream restaurant, listed here as gay-friendly, not a gay venue, and it suits a dinner out before heading to Oxford Street. Google rates it 4.5 from about 850 reviews, with prices in the mid range. It gets busy with the after-work CBD crowd, so book ahead for weekday evenings. Darlinghurst's gay bars are about 15 minutes away by taxi or a short train hop.

We went to try the new Ramen Lunch Special and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere of the restaurant was electric with the launch of the new special. The service was phenomenal and our ramen set was AMAZING. The real star of the show is the ramen, with the delicious chickeny ramen broth that is perfectly offset by the pickles. The sashimi DIY handroll was a nice touch. We also got a fish bao each, because no visit to King Clarence is complete without a fish bao.

Last night I took my interstate family to King Clarence for dinner and it was absolutely wonderful. As a Coeliac, finding a suitable place to eat can be challenging, let alone an Asian Fusion restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a separate Coeliac menu to call out what was safe. we ended up going for the banquet menu and almost all the dishes were like for like. Service was attentive and knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend trying it out.

I was in the mood for a small snack and saw the fish finger boa on the menu. It is small but packs a punch. Would need to come back and try more stuff on the menu.

Overall an excellent restaurant in the heart of the CBD. Started off with the fish finger bao, which lived up to the hype, so ended up having two. Prawn dumplings had a nice depth of flavour. The duck did not disappoint and the claypot rice was on point even with the crunchy bottom layer of rice. Had to go with the deep fried ice cream although their dessert of the day was very tempting. Staff were very professional and on point despite a very busy service. Would like to return.

We came here for a long boozy lunch and while this place is not the cheapest, the service and food lived up to the hit to the pocket.all of the dishes had a well balanced sauces and we were never waiting more then 5 min between causes. The wine list is extrealy extensive.
