We celebrated with friends at this French restaurant in the World Trade Center. The ambiance was elegant yet not too formal, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Victoria Harbour and plenty of natural sunlight streaming in. 🌿 The biggest surprise was their Executive Lunch, $468 for four courses – an absolute steal for the quality! 😍 I highly recommend the steak; the charcoal grilling was incredibly fragrant, crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside, with a rich, flavorful meat that wasn't tough at all. Served with their homemade mustard seed sauce, it was absolutely delicious!

Back to Hong Kong after a 3-week birthday trip to Batam, Indonesia plus Samoa, an island country in Polynesia🇮🇩🇼🇸, followed by a birthday treat with several pretties👭👭🎂🍽️🥂🎉💕 Hong Kong experienced torrential rains that day, with the Observatory issuing 2 Black Rainstorm Warnings in the afternoon and evening. We were incredibly lucky that the scheduled dinner was completely unaffected. We neither needed umbrellas nor got wet⛈️🛘😱🙏 The restaurant's name Bochord, means "library" or "book collection" based on ancient English etymology. The interior design is therefore decorated as an European noble study room filled with elegant and artistic furniture📚📚📚 Floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of Victoria Harbour🌃🌉😊 Besides amazing culinary experience, Bochord also features live band performances every night, making it an ideal venue for dates, birthday celebrations, or wedding anniversaries🎹🎸🎤👫🎂💍🥳 Guess what? I heard the "Happy Birthday" song at least 10 times that night🎼🎂😂

It was really good! The beef bone marrow and Earl Grey tea cake were a pleasant surprise. The portion size was just right, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

For starters, the Hokkaido Scallop Sashimi with green apple was incredibly refreshing. The optional Lobster Bisque with sourdough puff pastry is a must-order—rich, intense, and absolutely stunning. Both the charcoal-grilled USDA Prime beef and Iberico pork were cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and packed with smoky flavor. Service was warm and professional. Exceptional food and ambience—highly recommended!

The main course, the steak, is a super large piece with a perfect ratio of meat to fat. The beef flavor isn't overpowering, and the texture is tender and delicious. The Charcoal Grilled Australian Ms Beer Rib Eye (+$158) medium rare is perfectly seared in the middle, with a rich beef flavor. It's tender and juicy with no gristle, offering a great texture.
