Jinya has been running since 1973 on the west side of Ikebukuro Station — a four-level old-school house with a basement bath and dry sauna, dorm and private rooms above, and a rooftop that opens for nude sunbathing in summer. The crowd is mature, thirties to sixties, relaxed and bear-friendly.
Practical: 24 hours, no closing days, ¥2,800 flat for up to a full day; private rooms ¥6,000 overnight. No website and no English — but it is consistently described as one of the most foreigner-comfortable bathhouses in Tokyo for properly behaved guests. Cash, patience, and a bow at the door.

The facilities inside are fine, but the customer service is problematic. I'm a customer, after all. Using casual language is inappropriate.
The facilities are good, but the bathroom is like a sewer.
The staff's customer service was so bad it was unbelievable! 💢 I put money in the vending machine, but nothing came out, so I told the staff, and all they said was, "You definitely put it in!" 💢 What kind of staff member is so suspicious? 💢 It's the store's fault for using such an old vending machine! 💢
The attitude of the staff is awful. I wonder how they can hire people like that. There are hardly any customers and I will never go there again.
The phone service was poor. I just didn't understand what they were saying, but they hung up on me.
I stopped by to take shelter from the rain, and although the price was cheap, the bath was dirty, the shower was cold, and the bathtub had murky water. The sauna smelled of urine... I think it would be popular if they paid more attention to hygiene. The Wi-Fi was 5 stars, and the nap room... It's full of weird people, but if you wrap yourself up in a blanket and sleep, you'll be fine! Probably
Disgusting, I have never experienced algae in a bath in Japan before. The water smelled weird, bugs everywhere, tiny location with very little... Left after 10 minutes, shockingly disappointing 2500 yen wasted
