Le Boum

Le Boum opened in 2022 on rue André Poggioli, in the heart of the Cours Julien / La Plaine quarter that is now the centre of gay nightlife in Marseille. It bills itself as an inclusive, unapologetically queer bar and club — a space where drag performers, DJs and a young, mixed LGBTQ+ crowd share the same small dance floor. Expect themed parties, drag and cabaret nights, and a come-as-you-are door policy rather than a slick commercial club. Its arrival helped anchor the current wave of the scene around Cours Julien, alongside Le Pulse and L'Annexe. Open in the evenings from mid-week through the weekend.
