About this place Boum
Boum is a queer bar and small club at 21 rue André Poggioli, between Cours Julien and Notre-Dame-du-Mont. It opened in October 2022 (Time Out) and runs a full programme: drag queens and drag kings, cabaret, karaoke nights called Karaboum, talks, and DJ sets that turn the room into a dance floor late in the week.
The Marseille tourist office's 2026 LGBTQIA+ guide describes it as a safer space for queer artists and audiences. Club nights carry a small entry charge, around €5. Check boummarseille.fr or its Instagram for the week's line-up. Google rates it 4.4 from about 230 reviews.

A place where you can simply have a drink or you can come to see a show.

A fantastic experience! We came to see the Dragrace episode on Thursday and there are so many positive points to note: - a friendly atmosphere - a real sense of community among the people, as most of them are from the Dragrace community - diverse and funny shows! - a socially conscious bar! - great beer!
