Very hot place 🥵🥵🥵🥵 terrible body odor in the air 😶🌫️
Another fantastic evening, as usual, top-notch staff, and friendly atmosphere. The place to be right now if you want to have a great night out with friends ;)
Great atmosphere, top-notch team, I highly recommend it 🦋
I'm a straight woman, but I feel more comfortable in LGBT clubs; I prefer the atmosphere and the music. Plus, I mostly go out on weekends with LGBT people, so naturally I frequent these clubs more often. I came to this bar a few times between last summer and this winter, whereas I usually go to Omega. Each time, I was with gay friends of mine. I always got in without any problems with them. Today, I'm going back with just my cousin. We arrive at the entrance, say hello to the bouncer, and ask if we can come in. He asks us why. We tell him we've been several times before, that we like this club, and that we just want to dance. He told me we should just go to the Opera House next door (which, by the way, is a racist and very unsavory establishment, with a reputation well-known throughout the city), that he didn't understand what we were doing there and that we weren't answering his question. The question, I repeat, was: "Why are you here?" To which I had already given the previous answer, which seemed perfectly clear to me. He persisted. He asked me personal questions and what I did for a living. I remained very evasive, refusing to answer him, even though I didn't understand the point of such a question. He practically called me an idiot because I supposedly didn't understand his question. It was more like he didn't understand the answer, and in reality, I was starting to understand perfectly well what he wanted from us. He looked at my cousin and asked him to speak in turn. My cousin finally told him that he was gay. My cousin, who is quite modest and shy, was then kicked out by the bouncer in front of everyone in a very humiliating way, while he insisted on getting an explanation. The bouncer told him it wasn't written on his forehead to justify his clearly inappropriate and very awkward behavior. My cousin "wasn't gay enough for him," we all understood perfectly well. Because, like any good homophobe, a gay person is bound to behave a certain way. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with specific behavior, and only a homophobe would think otherwise. We finally got in, but just before, he started talking to me again to humiliate me, saying things like, "This is the first time I've let someone in that I don't like, but I'm not going to ruin your cousin's evening." Once again, he insisted and wouldn't open the door until he had repeated this several times, loudly enough for everyone to think that I was the problem. I restrain myself from getting more upset, not wanting to play into his hands. I finally go inside and check the comments on Google. I notice it's not the first time this has happened. The bar is practically empty all evening, and I clearly notice the difference compared to the first few times I went, but I'm finally starting to understand why. It's a real shame. What's more, my cousin had the same problem last summer with the same bouncer, when he just wanted to join me inside. Again, because he wasn't gay enough. Maybe next time, the owner of an LGBT-friendly bar should be careful not to hire a bouncer who is homophobic... because only letting in people who fit a "gay stereotype" is homophobic. I spoke to a waiter inside; I hope measures will be taken to address the problem.
Doorman who thinks he's in Saint-Tropez 😄. Bad-faced bartender. Luckily, good music...
