Le Six at 6 Rue Raoul Bosio is the institution around which Nice's gay scene orbits. Named for its address, the bar has been a fixture of Vieux Nice since the 1980s and is the first stop on every LGBTQ+ itinerary for the city. The terrace — enclosed in a narrow pedestrianised street in the baroque old town — is one of the most pleasant spots in Nice for an evening drink, combining the romance of the architecture with a welcoming, mixed-age crowd. The bar attracts a broad cross-section of the LGBTQ+ community: tourists from across Europe, year-round Niçois regulars, and visitors from Monaco and Cannes who make the short train journey.
