Bürgerpark (Cruising Area)

Bremen's Bürgerpark, the large green belt just north of the main station, is a long-standing, informally tolerated gay cruising area — one of the few outdoor spots documented across cruising guides for the city. Activity is traditionally associated with the wooded stretches and paths off Hollerallee and Parkallee, mainly after dark. Germany is one of the world's most LGBTQ+-friendly countries and Bremen is a liberal city, but this is a public park used by everyone: be discreet and respectful of other park-goers, keep to public areas, go with the flow rather than approaching anyone directly, and stay aware of your surroundings and belongings. Cruising here is tolerated rather than officially sanctioned, so use common sense and keep it low-key.
