Marin Hotel

Very helpful front desk ...gave us a wonderful reception and a map of Heraklion and lots of tips of where to eat ect. We really appreciated the map and help. They even provided us with a table for our balcony so we could enjoy the lovely evenings outside. The breakfasts were very tasty with a large variety to choose from with lots of local produce. The breakfast room has a wonderful veiw and the staff were very friendly. We also arrived home to a clean room every afternoon.

AC not working after multiple attempts, as the room is very hot even when apparently « fixed » I have to try and keep Windows open but the planes are loud Shower clogged Dirty toilets I don’t recommend

Very polite and professional service, great quality rooms, everything works well. The only two reasons this review is not 5 stars - which I understand are largely side effects of the great location and not entirely the hotel's fault - are 1. The rooms are tiny and cramped, and 2. Parking is neither included nor attached (they say to use the port's pay parking or a different off site pay parking). Again, I get that the hotel can't do much about these in downtown Heraklion, but that doesn't change the impact on guest experience, which is not 5 star.

Nice location and clean rooms. But someone has to say to the cleaning personel that they should not make so much noise from so much early in the morning shouting loud outside the rooms and pushing things with no care for the noise! That was so strange and unprofessional...

The hotel is very well located: lovely view of the port and the Heraklion fortress. The service is perfect, from breakfast to reception. The room is very comfortable with a huge terrace.

Very clean hotel. Beautiful room with all amenities. Very good beds. Breakfast is fantastic, especially with such a beautiful view. Friendly and very helpful staff. Definitely recommended.

What they show in pictures in way different than reality. Also it is a small hotel with almost no room facing sea so better to ask for pictures of the same room that they will allocate to you before you come.

The hotel is perfectly fine in terms of value for money. Check24 indicated that the hotel had parking. Unfortunately, we discovered this wasn't the case. The gentleman at reception was kind enough to coordinate with a colleague who parked and drove off directly in front of the hotel, allowing us to quickly find a parking space. Breakfast is served on the top floor of the hotel and offers a wide selection. The room, like the hotel rooms, is quite dated and in need of renovation – especially the bathroom. The walls are so thin that we slept very poorly due to the noise from our neighbors and the loud ventilation system (?), and we were glad we were only there for one night. We wouldn't return.
